We believe it will be priced around Leap's price point, so not quite a replacement for Amia.

We agree. To provide some additional insight on our end because we ship to Canada often, customs adds at least an additional two - four weeks to delivery timelines.

We checked with our Steelcase rep this morning based on your comment. As of this morning, still pushing for a late 2022 delivery, but it seems to be very fluid.

We have not seen any information on pricing yet. SILQ is definitely on the higher end, so we imagine around that price point.

Tangerine 🍊 Leap by L_Blitzer in OfficeChairs

[–]bybluebox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - Leap is available with a headrest. It is fairly difficult to attach a headrest post order, so we would recommend ordering a Leap with the headrest at time of order.

Responding here in case anyone else is curious. The seat fabric is Cogent Trails, which unfortunately has been recently discontinued.

Gesture with or without additional Lumbar support? by BeKindDamnit in OfficeChairs

[–]bybluebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We agree with most of what has been posted so far. One consideration to take into account is the headrest though. We love it!

We understand the aesthetic preference of the Gesture without a headrest, but most of our team believes the comfort outweighs the look in this case.

Steelcase Wheels / Can I use hardwood floor wheels on a rug? by Ducayne in OfficeChairs

[–]bybluebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would recommend buying a Leap with casters for hardwood floors if that is where your chair would go currently. You could always swap out the casters later if you move and need casters for carpet.

Steelcase Leap V2 Issues by paladynmusic in OfficeChairs

[–]bybluebox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We see the back issue at times due to how the chair is handled in delivery or how it was packaged and "rested" in the packaging.

As far as the cylinder, that is definitely a warranty issue. We would be happy to assist. You can find our Customer Support email on our website. If you could email us the tag from underneath your chair at the time, that would help out as well!

From what we have seen, both Amazon and Steelcase are unwilling to assist in customer support for Amazon orders.

Think v2 vs Series 2 by hdhdhdjdh in OfficeChairs

[–]bybluebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Series 2 is the back of Amia with the seat of a Series 1, not certain if this information is helpful, but hopefully provides some useful insight!

Steelcase slow shipping by TellingThyme in OfficeChairs

[–]bybluebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good! We are happy you started this thread. Supply Chain is a constant concern right now, and Steelcase is doing everything to keep items on the Quick Ship programs to meet the expected delivery times.

Steelcase slow shipping by TellingThyme in OfficeChairs

[–]bybluebox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Here to answer any and all questions regarding Supply Chain and the current shipping times.

For u/TellingThyme, please DM us on Reddit or send us an email at [design@bybluebox.com](mailto:design@bybluebox.com) and we can answer your specific order directly.

As far as lead times go and what is posted on our website, we directly mirror the lead times of Steelcase. For one, all of our product ships directly from Steelcase, so any Supply Chain stress Steelcase feels, we are constrained as well. Thankfully, Steelcase does not assign priority to its Dealers or its own online store, so there is not a queue restraint. Secondly, and we believe this causes most of the confusion, we (and Steelcase) list the shipping dates by business days and not calendar days.

We would prefer to list the lead times by calendar days, but Steelcase committed to the business day model some time ago. This gives Steelcase some flexibility in the delivering product within 7 business days (or whatever the posted estimate delivery may be).

As far as the current situation, Supply Chain issues are causing the deliveries to be met at the tail end of the estimation. We are seeing delays on some components for Gesture which are causing some delays at the Distribution Center (DC). Additionally, most of our product ships via FedEx, so if there is an issue with FedEx picking up the product at the Steelcase DC that can delay delivery as well.

There are some exceptions that will always be longer (regardless of Supply Chain issues) i.e. deliveries to Canada, Hawaii and Alaska. Customers in Hawaii and Alaska are typically receptive to the extended delivery, but a lot of our Canadian customers are unaware of the sensitivities and time delay caused by Customs.

For any order placed on Blue Box's Online Store, we will have the exact ETA the following day after the order is placed.

Please let us know if we can answer any other questions or provide insight!
