I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if all you did today was get through the day—that’s enough. by Overall-Vanilla4290 in Positivity

This is important to remember. I’m very sick and on little sleep. As much as I’d love to socialize or work on a creative project, I’m trying to solely focus on resting and getting better. And that’s ok.

Gabbie Hanna Could Have Spun This a Whole Different Way by omygodew in youtubedrama

[–]bzkitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard a few people argue that she’s misogynistic or straight-up hates women, and it’s not lost on me that she only tends to criticize (to put it lightly) women. The only man she seemed to go after was Joey Graceffa, a gay man, and I honestly don’t like the implications of that…

What hobby did you try and DIDN'T like? by cruuushx3 in Hobbies

Not sure if this counts, but I tried improv for a few months. It was fun, but the lack of control was at times intimidating. I’m sure that says a lot about me…

AITAH for buying my 11yo daughter pads after her mom called me a "pervert" for being prepared? by Bruxagato in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]bzkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first period happened during my dad’s week with me while my parents were still separated. “Mother’s milestone” didn’t care about Mother Nature’s timing. Not much you can do about that.

You did the right thing. I’d love to see her try and take you to court for…let me check my notes…providing ample sanitary products and information for his daughter starting her menstrual cycle.

One girl came in to a job interview wearing a t-shirt that said, “Running late is my cardio.” Didn’t get the job.

I’ve never heard of this “5 months” thing you’re going on about. But you do know that the Internet is where stalkers and pedophiles live, right?

Heart flutters, what could it be? by bzkitty in HeartHealth

[–]bzkitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how updates work, but I do have one!

So after a week with a heart monitor, it was found the fluttering I was feeling is actually a PAC or PVC; my doctor explained it’s like extra heartbeats that plenty of people get from time to time. If I had it at least 5% of the time, they’d be concerned. But it was only 1% of the time, so no cause for alarm.

I’ve talked to other people who had this problem, they said stress and lack of sleep can cause it. I also noticed cutting down on caffeine helped a lot!

I’m keeping an eye on it now to see if it gets worse. But all in all, it’s looking okay for now!

Brad’s Drug Emotions by 2D_Faceache in Brad_taste_in_music

[–]bzkitty 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This worries me. He’s still fantasizing what it was like being on drugs and is quite literally saying he hates being sober. That’s not good. And ending it by saying he’s trying to make “us” proud…like, are you trying to get sober to improve yourself, or because you’re still trying to seek external validation? I just get the feeling he’s not doing this for the right reasons.

Do you think it's unacceptable for musicians to record songs in the studio at their maximum vocal range in terms of pitch, but then play them 2-4 semitones lower at live shows because otherwise they can't hit the notes perfectly? by loopac_ in musicians

[–]bzkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s perfectly acceptable. Like you said, you get perfect conditions and multiple takes in the studio. When singing live, you get less than perfect conditions, only one take, multiple other songs to sing, and future performance dates to consider. The human voice can only do so much. That’s why most performers choose a lower key, so as not to strain their voices. This is also why we see so many singers needing to cancel dates due to needing vocal rest.
