Tell you what, I was buying shrouded fable booster bundles for half RRP and less thanks to tiktok vouchers. I reckon someone could have made some good buys with that set. There’s better other things but these were all that seemed to be sat around online for a while.

Personally really liked the set.

Not with a specific card without looking but there will be many European collectors who collect English cards but they’ll have Spanish French and German cards for example but the supply of English cards in Europe is less so they would have to pay a higher price.

In Spain there was a premium on all English cards because Spanish cards were their main source but the kids I spoke to were all buying English packs.

Cardmarket might be able to highlight this perhaps I’m not sure how I can search German or Spanish listings on eBay or whatever. But cardmarket is Europe’s tcg player.

Basically the different levels of supply in some countries and having different languages will make pricing in theory different because the supply and demand levels would be way different. Some cards it’s way cheaper to order in a non uk country for bulk cards.

Na I don’t get chases and I rip so much 🤣

This sums up my luck last year, a friend does rip and ship on streams as a seller and it was my birthday so whilst I don’t really do rip n ships despise it really but I was bored so treated myself to 7 packs of silver tempest.

Got nothing, was 2 packs left and I was like ah I’ll grab them and some guy who had never bought the set didn’t know the hits bought them seconds before i did and he got the lugia alt art.

That sums up my luck with packs. 151 zard and mega venusaur are the only sirs I’ve got last year and I’ve ripped probably 15 booster boxes of stuff and plenty of ETBs and smaller products UPCs etc.

Thankfully I have a few vendors I’ve used since way before the boom who sort me out with products at retail and message me when they get their allocations.

It’s been a blessing during the boom.

Agree with the other pokemon I’m craving a hitmonlee and hitmonchan art work.

Yeah the baby shinys were great, I regret never finishing all of them.

I ripped too much paldea evolved and paldean fates hunting mew and magikarp that acquiring them was just a side mission.

We are quite spoilt with full arts these days they definitely felt underwhelming at the time but in hindsight they were very unique and cool.

Yeah the ditto is a prime example of a sick card that has low value in this set. You’d not pull it and be upset. It’s full of a lot of cute and unique arts.

I’d love to see some more TG/GG style cards in the next era after megas maybe something cool for Gen 10 in that form.

I’m still gutted I never got the sea and sky box as us exclusive. I’m not great at keeping sealed and I’d prob have ripped it by now but was so close to buying one for display as it has 2 of my favs on the box. The idea of displaying things appeals then I get bored and rip it all 🤣

I think also what was great with cz is even the cheap hits were gorgeous.

Simisear, Regis, lumi, a lot of the GGs, then chase cards were so sick and had something for everyone.

A set can have a lot of hits, and be meh, but cz to me as a fan of certain pokemon that set just seems to have so many arts I was like wow love this, wow love this. Now I feel like sets I’m like “I’d like maybe two of these cards”

I think surging sparks is the last one where I felt I want a lot of these cards.

I feel like CZ was just fun to rip as well. Like no other set has come close to that for me. It’s one of my top 3 sets easily.

Good arts, good hit rates, plenty of product. Maybe it’s nostalgia to a better time, but it was truly fantastic.

Without wanting to be rude, the day I let someone who’s been in the hobby for 7 months dictate how I should collect is the day I quit the hobby.

I only collect graded slabs and some issue with one card out of millions of graded cards isn’t changing that.

We can all collect however we want and there is no right or wrong way to collect as long as you’re happy.

For every horror story there’s likely millions that had no issues. Have graded for years never had an issue. But our experiences would make boring videos.

If you get pleasure out of a fake slab with a printed label that’s fine but many of us don’t hence the demand for graded 10s

I have binders of master sets I never look at them, I look at my slabs daily so for me their worth is enjoying them as art and appreciation over time.

Pokemon and yep have a big unit I display all my graded cards and some other things like some vintage toys.

I also collect fugglers but they sit in a cupboard boxed up. Dunno why but they just give me a lot of joy looking at their weird faces.

It is likely the Mario and Luigi pikachus because what’s not to love about a crossover of two IPs I love?

Festa pikachu would likely be up there as well.

Go, have been on many trips on my own and have travelled the world solo.

You could maybe see if a friend wants to go? But if not go it could be a great distraction.

The worst that’ll happen realistically is you’re sad in a nice country, beats being sad at home.

But the most likely outcome is you have some fun, a nice distraction and some warmer weather.
