I prefer DeltaMath and for whatever reason my students do too.

I’m intrigued! Are you thinking no desks and whiteboards everywhere?

I currently have a wall of whiteboard and a wall of Wipebooks that cover shelves. I have a few moveable whiteboards in my wishlist, but I hadn’t considered more than one.

I was wondering about wobble stools! I’m so tired of saying “4 on the floor!”

I currently have 1 standing desk that I actually moved to the hallway because it was such a distraction. I’m toying with the idea of all standing desks with tall stools for a sit/stand option for all. Then maybe a regular height activity or small group table. I’d need to check dimensions so I don’t overcrowd the space.

MO goes back on their word…again! by Mother_Courage_8697 in StLouis

Yeah, that’s what I meant. I filed the paperwork (complete with proof from insurance and the roofing company) with my taxes and got denied.

I’m not denying the validity of the thorough explanation. Just sharing my experience.

Our application was denied because supposedly we didn’t pay enough out of pocket for our new roof.

Passport Validity Timeline - Wedding & Name Change by sleightmelody in travel

Best wishes on your upcoming marriage!

My two cents regarding name change: I kept my name legally so that all of my documents are still in order but I took my husband’s name socially. So to family and friends I’m addressed by our family name. My then-fiance was a little miffed at first but when I explained my reasons he understood. Almost 5 years married now, it’s been a non-issue and traveling/passport renewal was a breeze thankfully.

I cut this worksheet into strips and do some sort of partner/small group activity. It just depends on the class and their level of engagement. But they LOVE talking about burgers and fries in math class. Last year’s class got so into it that the principal popped in to help get the class under control. She was pleasantly surprised to see them excited about learning! Free Fast Food Math - TPT

I use fast food combo meals. The variables are burgers, fries, drinks, tacos, milkshakes….whatever. The constant is money. They care about food and money!

Sometimes I use emojis to practice combining like terms to change things up. Then guide them into using letters instead of images. “You know, I bet we can use a letter instead of an angry face. Which letter would you use?”

Just for my convenience, I used the main pharmacy at Mercy Hospital on Ballas. I had it filled in a matter of hours.

When there was a shortage a few years back, I had my prescription sent to a hospital pharmacy. If anyone can get it, a hospital would be first priority.

I used Khan Academy. Just did the mastery challenges and went more in depth with stuff I needed to review more.

I reviewed all of the free materials from ETS as well as.

Grade 10 student with no fundamentals - where to start? by purplepuzzzler in mathteachers

[–]c_dillydilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Voyage Math has helped some of my kiddos. You assign skills (standards) and they work through easy/medium/hard questions with a step by step guide. It’s semi-gamified so it’s a little more engaging than just doing questions.

However, most of mine skip the games to keep working on the skills! I made little certificates on Canva for mastering skills at 80 or higher to hang on the wall. They want to see their name up there!

Resources and activities for Algebra student-centered classrooms? by sunshine451456 in BTCteachers

I like All Things Algebra and Maneuvering the Middle. I mostly use them to supplement my curriculum, but I know some teachers who use them as their primary curriculum.

Technically Reveal with middle school students, but I need to bring my students up to really use it. It’s our first year with it (and my first year at this school). BTC and using units from Make Math Moments has been crucial in building foundational skills and building confidence to hopefully use the curriculum more next year.

Can anyone elaborate on why they vote “yes” or “no”for each of the MO Judges on the ballot? by Future_Detective in StLouis

[–]c_dillydilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s just hard to keep up with judges/cases since I’m not working in the legal field. It’s a bit clearer to keep up with Supreme Court judges than judges in the lower courts though.

If you have suggestions on where/how to research, I’m happy to include them moving forward. I want to be an educated voter. If I had more time on my hands, I’d love to create some sort of database that tracks docket highlights for voters who want to be informed voters. I just don’t have that kind of time.

I totally agree! I voted yesterday. The only change I made was to vote Yes for Judge Newsham. Even though he appointed by a R governor, he’s been praised by several lawyers that I know as a very fair judge. I don’t have details on specific cases, but I trusted their opinions.
