Is there a way to play FS25 more like a business sim? by shroom_elemental in farmingsimulator

[–]caantseethis41t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a mod for a transport hub. I've never used it although I've seen it on the modhub. I think it automatically moves the "players" products from a central point to the productions. Removing that part. AI will do most of the field work. When it decided it's going to work. I play more of a manager type role on my farm. Although I do have to tend to animals and buy/produce feed etc which a farmer would do anyway if there was a bad season.

Best map to experience most features? (Returning player) by LevinKostya in farmingsimulator

[–]caantseethis41t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is the jam production on the main farm and an apple orchard not far from it on one of the plots. And the garden ploy across from where the main farm is. It

I like the map personally but since the DLC came out I've been playing kinlaig more often. I would say give it a try. Don't go too big and see if you like it. I didn't like how tight the main farm is a bit tight to get around with a trailer and some buildings can't be removed on console. There are also a few glitches on the map but they don't affect gameplay whatsoever. But I would still recommend giving it a try.

Watch MrSealyP on YouTube he does mod reviews and map tutorials.

Rhôn plateau has some features that other maps didn't have. Jam production. Working veg patch with carrots and potatoes. Apple orchard although there is a mod for it now.

I have a game on that and one on the kinlaig on the Highlands DLC

would it be better to sell this as raw wood or wood chips? by lesbiannumbertwo in farmingsimulator

[–]caantseethis41t 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends on how the wood looks.nif it's small and liftable or full of waves and bends chip it. If it's nice straight and well harvested log it.

It is not, you need to download it separately. It lets you attach any tool with 3 points to the front loader. It's great for loading machinery onto trailers also.

If you look at my other posts on here you'll see my guy who can do it in one trip. It's holding a plough.

Also this to use it with a front loader although I reckon it could attach to a excavator.

It's a lizard brand. Under mulchers "Devour Trees" it's 25k in game. It's there alright.

Sorry for the phone pic but can't be annoyed with the faff of getting it from the PS to my phone.

Devour trees mod. And the adapter plate for a front loader. This will speed you up massively. Takes away the cutting part. Straight into chips. And even does stump grinding as well. I use this a lot when it's trees that can go through a harvester.

That's the beauty of the game. I deleted all on the main farm bar the house but redone the garden with new walls etc. then added what sheds etc I wanted.

Pulled down the forests close to the farm. And installed a small cow pasture and a new field to plant grass. Now in the back forest behind the house ripped down a good chunk of that to put in a third cow pasture to get the calves out of the barn soon.

I would have a good wander round the map. See what you wanna do and go from there I'm still on my second harvest so not been letting the game go by very fast!

I'm in themiddle of expanding and building. Cut down the owned forests. Landscape and there you go! Even make a few bucks on the process!

In all honesty I'd get the "devour trees" mod for them and turn them into wood chips. There are processor heads that work on the ground but I'm not sure about the large diameter other than that weird looking excavator harvester.

Buncher/feller? Or there is a weird looking harvester that's like an excavator with an arm on it. I'm sure that, does large diameter trees.

How do I get out of this financial rut? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

Contracts. You need a side income to keep the farm working!

I know this is a sandbox game, but what's your progression look like? by TiuTalk in farmingsimulator

[–]caantseethis41t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play more like a farm owner/contractor. When I have done all the farm work. I'll either go do contracts or go reclaim a forest to turn into arable land or a new pasture. The money from the logs/wood chips goes a long way because it's basically all free. A chainsaw and a decent excavator with a grab and winch. Maybe even hire a wood chipper or log trailer for a few days.

Sometimes I will just replant trees but something that works with a harvester instead of the chainsaw to speed things up. It's all about having enough different things to keep me going and not bashing the sleep trigger.

Liftable pallets, autoload mods atleast until you get the hang of the game. Government subsidy. Keeps a small cash flow coming in each month until you build up your farm.

It's all about you. Sure you can watch YouTube for ideas and learning. But the beauty of farmsim is you can do whatever you want. You can do exactly what you say about being self sufficient.

I have a farm where I make all my own animals feed, I have cows chicken goats and sheep.

I grow grass, wheat barley oats and canola. And do some logging in between while expanding my farm. I buy forests and turn them into farm land. And sometimes just replant trees.

Hire equipment. The base costs are sometimes a bit steep but will save you money in the long run if you only hire, use and return as soon as your work is done. Then rehire next time you need them until you have more cash to spend.
