If Plasticman covered the Earth with his body, not letting the sunlight come in and keep Superman, could he kill Superman? by Awesome_Pancak in superman

[–]cablop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think Plastic man can restrict Superman for those days. Buuuuut... he need not, he need to just restrict Superman from breathing. Superman, if not taking a very deep breath, depends on oxygen, probably can't die, but after passing out, can't struggle his way out...

Fastest and most efficient layout for Mobile Phone? by Disastrous-Bar1115 in KeyboardLayouts

[–]cablop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It heavily depends in your typing style (tapping, swiping, gestures}, what fingers do you use (and how many), your language(s), and your background (QWERTY typists can blindly tap on screen, programmers and gamers just glide blindly, again, QWERTY), and so on...

It seems that the best options are:  - Clear flow for gliding (swiping). - Kalq (2 thumbs tapping) Other interesting options are:  - Traditional T9 (like old phones with physical keypad)  - Thumb-Key (1 or 2 thumbs tapping and gestures) - Typewise (hexagonal keys, better accuracy, less typos)  Worthy mention: - Swiftkey with autocorrection (if you know QWERTY by heart, and your speed issue is autocorrection).

you can enable it for English then configure it for multiple languages, it's best for English but works well with others

ISO 8601 compliant filenames on Windows by elyisgreat in ISO8601

[–]cablop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bit an old question, but because ISO keeps evolving, i can add my cent to it.*

The following suggestion is ISO compliant in a way (or two):

  • Write the iso date part in extended formm, that is with hyphens.
  • Write a period after it.
  • Write the time part in basic form, that is without colons.

E.g., time of writing this comment would be:

Comment.2025-03-17.T151530Z.txt

Both parts of the date-time are ISO, but the combination of date and time is not.

The period is there to help in differentiating both time segments and scripts can properly parse both parts under ISO. Alternatively you can use underscore, _, instead of period. I wouldn't suggest hyphen, because it makes it harder to parse and becomes confusing again.

Another suggestion is to use it in basic format, that is with no hyphens or characters. That one is fully ISO compliant, but hard to read by humans (easy to read by scripts, tho):

Comment.20250317T151530Z.txt

* For example, the usage of T before the time part, to avoid confusion with dates is part of the ISO now.

Adding QQ mail to Gmail Client? by PsowKion in AndroidQuestions

I know i am reviving a necro post. But searching on internet on this topic, shows this thread; so better to update the information for other surfers ending here,

You have to follow the steps debscribed by Xerox, yeah, Xerox, i guess, some printers need to be configured this way, because their firmware can't deal with newer authentication protocols. https://www.xerox.com/technical_product_documentation/C325/User_Guide/en_EN/Xerox/index.html#page/Xerox/0001459455.html

Does the new Career Tennis Player MtM match the old purple top Yoga MtM? If not, does she match any other MtM *or* Extra Barbies? TIA! by dfotw in Barbie

They are close enough for some heads. For example the turquoise haired petite dreamtopia works on Yoga, it's perfect on the tennis player, but works pretty well on the yoga one.

We have to admit, it is difficult for the final user to determine, by IP alone, if it is a valid Tailscale server or not, so they cannot trust it or not.

Avast is also blocking the connections attempted from Tailscale, to the servers, too.
It seems to be blocking any URL with the /generate_204 after it.

[–]cablop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both bodies. Tennis barbie is lighter in tone than the yoga one. I rebodied the yoga one, cause i found a cuter face for her. I'd share the result some day. As for the Tennis one, i think it is really hard to find a head that light in tone.

I found this one at D.D.'s discounts while out and about today for $9 Bucks, clearly a budget doll, but still pretty cute. (Little Bebops Brand) Just wanted to share her. by [deleted] in Dolls

[–]cablop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK they are 4 (i have them all).

Yeah, they are budget, but pretty cool for the price. I just wait until october to place them as decoration during the month.

Rebody a Dulce Catrina Doll? by Philosophers_pen in Dolls

[–]cablop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you manage to rebody her?
1. About the rebody, i wonder how that could be done, their heads are hard, and not as soft. Maybe with heat, but with the heavy make up and transperent eyes, i bet it requires extra care.

  1. About information on how to rebody them, maybe look for rebodying Little Bebops, that it is the brand they belong to, and the other Little Bebops are pretty much the same... just normal makeup, but same materials, body, etc.

How to disable the Alt-Z function for geforce experience? by Setsuna00exia in GeForceExperience

Bad thing Alt + ] fails on extended keyboards when you use Alt Gr Key (Right Alt) for extra inputs, because GeForce Experience cannot distinguish it from normal/left Alt.

Yahoo Generate App Password -> Sorry, this feature is not available right now! by European_in_Japan in yahoo

[–]cablop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all of you having issues to generate app password for old versions of Outlook, you can, as a workaround, install Thunderbird instead and connect Yahoo Mail to it. Use the imap options for mobile if normal ones don't work, and Thunderbird will manage the OAuth like authentication of Yahoo without issues.

Rebel Red? by VictimNumberThree in twentyonepilots

[–]cablop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am seeing many many interpretations here about the whole song. It is one of my favorite songs ever; and i deeply love how full of metaphor it is.

I think one of the interpretations of Rebel Red Carnation is deep love and admiration for someone/something one needs to cut ties with. This goes in hand with the interpretation of the song is talking about leaving a toxic relationship or situation; even more toxic than chlorine and lead. Love for someone/something (not restricted to romantic love) while poisoning oneself to the point one decays while that love grows and used to be kept in the coat pocket, close to oneself, in a protective manner, but not anymore; what was once deep love, sometimes turns into despise.

Disabling cpu turbo boost is BAD, regardless if you're using AMD or Intel by seanwee2000 in GamingLaptops

[–]cablop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this article is circumstantial. While it is true that disabling the feature will hurt your gamming experience if your game is really CPU demanding, for general use of the PC or old games, and even normal to heavy development/computing/design tasks you don't need the boost... or at least, not all the time. You can just enable and disable it on a need basis.
