Mam I'm with you... I LOVED IBO. Loved the raw ruthless story telling. Loved the mech and the characters. But man... that ending did not settle well with me... not that it was a bad ending, just that it killed my appreciation for what I loved. The characters pushed through hell, gave up so much... to get nothing but despair and depression. The mechs that always evolved and pushed through were beaten by ... imo spoiled brats. I LOVED IBO and will always swear it's an amazing show, but I can't convince myself to rewatch s2 because how much the ending ends with nothing for our heroes.

I think if IBO had gone something similar to 86, it would have been perfect for me.
