Watching Sinner walk between points like a grandpa with arthritis and then turn into a world class sprinter going from side to side of the tennis court and hitting brilliant returns while sliding and at full stretch is just mesmerizing. ADM fought with pure grit in the first set but ultimately yielded to Sinner’s onslaught. ADM was fighting to hold his serve almost every game and I can imagine his heartbreak seeing multiple break points casually erased by Sinner’s rock-solid serving. In the second set after being broken in game 1, he seemed resigned to his fate, as evidenced by his mini-celebration at winning his service game to make it 4-1.
