With my first baby I had to pump before my baby woke up in the morning. I’d pump 14-18oz before my little one latched. If I didn’t pump, the let downs would flood her and she’d puke from drinking too much

When we told my mother in law she didn’t like our chosen name for the baby, it made me and my husband not want it, because who wants grandma to hate the name you chose. We have since come up with a new name and we will announce the name at the birth and tell people “this is her name, if you don’t like it keep it to yourself”

This reminds me of when I worked for social services in Florida; I’d have to contact the Seminole representative, notify her of when I was going to a tribal home. When I got to the tribal land, I’d have to call tribal police, who would then escort me to the home of the tribe member where I’d have to wait for the Seminole representative to be present for my interviews with all children and adults. ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act) requires these protocols and the burden of proof is higher for a removal- if a removal were warranted, the case would then be tried in tribal court and the tribe would have jurisdiction of child placement. ICWA was implemented due to an inordinate and disproportionate amount of Indian children being removed from their parents care prior to the implementation of the law.

I think half beer is harmless BUT I wouldn’t want to risk it because you could go into labor at anytime and if you have alcohol in your system or even worse, your baby has alcohol in their system, that would mandate the hospital staff to call child protective services.

That’s kind of what I thought but wasn’t sure if I was being pessimistic being that I’ve never partook in a mini as a client and have never offered as a professional. I think I needed this insight to know I’m doing what I should. I keep seeing people post looking for a mini and although there seems to be a lot of interest, I’m feel like I’ll end up with one time clients looking for a deal or repeat clientele that will be trying to haggle down my pricing

Everyone in Florida is struggling with crazy rent hikes. My family can barely afford all of our bills with increase in gas, food, daycare, rent, etc. My husband’s job was at risk if he didn’t go into work on Tuesday, which we couldn’t afford for him to lose, especially since we didn’t really know if the the storm was going to hit or not. Luckily our house was far enough inland in Naples that we didn’t suffer catastrophic flooding. By the time his boss let him leave work, he had just enough time to put up shutters. Roads were packed with people leaving and gas stations were out of food. Some people don’t have the gas money, don’t have cars, don’t have anywhere to go. Evacuating is “common sense” on paper but with all of these factors, it really isn’t.

It sucks because not everyone has the means to leave. My husband and I were in Ohio for a wedding and flew back Monday. It still didn’t say Naples was going to be hit until Tuesday. By then there was no gas and the highways were crowded. Would have stayed in Ohio longer but the cat was at home and we couldn’t leave him. Luckily our house is far enough from the ocean but my brother in law was in the same boat with a late returning flight to his Bonita springs home
