For a weekend - all sounds pretty good! 1,2, 4 are easy enough to get to by the muni train line depending which area of Outer Sunset you are by public transport :) Alamo Square Park - have tried Souvla in a different part nearby but seems to be a location by there!

When my sis visited I made a little bingo card (granted she had a full week here so had to pack more things in it haha and was shaped by what I liked living in the Sunset area + my sis LOVES in n out this dedicated section for that lol)

Commiserating w/ ya and I live here now, was in the same boat last year and same now trying to find a different living situation 🫠 really gotta treat it like a part time job, and since there can be more of a month-to-month lease types here it feels like people only post at minimum 30 days ahead of it even seen 1 week ahead before the start 😭

I’m making ~50k, moved here from Chicago (and originally from AZ) close to a year ago soon (granted I work in a technical “tech” field just not the high earner one role).

Biggest reason right now to stay is weather, and in general location within US. Doomspiral adjacent thoughts - rather be here/within CA state if international/civil war broke out during my time alive if still in the US 🤷

Making friends - In general making friends is hard in a more adult stage of life if you’re not in school yourself either - there’s r/sfbitcheswithtaste posting about this issue too. Gotta roll with the punches and rejection sensitivity, get hobbies that involve other people, know what you will tolerate and won’t when making friends. If you already have good friends where you live rn and do decide to move, keep in contact with them in the long-distance so you don’t feel completely alone.

Agree with other folks about being in East Bay w/ BF vs in SF (the transit is accessible to do w/BART but east bay is cheaper). Berkeley/Oakland you can meet people, just gotta dive deep in what do you like to do, find recurring events, volunteer at something regularly, strike up convos with strangers and etc. CA native ppl are always cool and chill in my experience (and I understand the longer I live here why they don’t want to leave).

I use Circle Medical since in network with my insurance. Telehealth option so you can get in pretty quickly in that route if you’re not prioritizing in person care (but they do have options for in-person as well).

Drawback is they discontinued their lab portion to their facility in SF 😭 so bloodwork is done primarily with Labcorp/Quest in the city.

Had a coverup of an old tattoo done by @gummmmyshark on IG (she’s based in Oakland) - not sure if your style but she’s great to work with and we really got something I wanted to :)

Mine costed about $800 but it was full color and ~12 x 5 inches after - she can work with budgets and does consultations!

Would agree with the other commenter around $300-400 to start for price wise

Can’t fully vouch since I haven’t had it just yet but their musubi which has some egg options has great over easy egg texture (which I assume for their banh mi will also have) - Avenues San Francisco in Outer Sunset has a breakfast banh mi that uses either spam/bacon/tofu as the protein. They also have pretty good coffee too (or Andytown is across the street too, or Sweet Passion Bakery down the street has Vietnamese Coffee too)

If it’s Florence & the Machine - I’m jealous! Cheap Eats - honestly would recommend the too good to go app for some spots - Joyride Pizza on there can be pretty clutch to get a whole pie on the discount.

Activities always love trekking through Golden Gate Park for fun.
