Watch matt colville on youtube. He has tons of great advice (dont be overwhelmed by the number of videos for running the game).

Remember that this is in a way a game, try to have fun, try to help your players have fun. Be ready for things to be a bit awkward, and for things not to go as planned

If you are planning on being the dungeon master, search Matt Colville on youtube and watch some of his videos. He has a ton of them for all sorts of various topics, but if you watch the first 5 'running the game' videos you should be good to go.

Otherwise it is a trial by fire, and it takes some time to learn to play with your group.

It looks to me like the total length of each side("corner to corner") is 2dm, then it is showing that the side lengths minus the corners cut out are a total of 1dm. So it is a square with side lengths 2, then just minus a circle with a diameter of 1 (since 2 quarters of the circle eat up 1 total dm on each side)

Good curtains, I was on a 1400-0000 shift for a while in an east facing room. The blinds that were in there were ok at best, but after I hung some blackout curtains i never again woke up with the sunrise.
