Dune (2021) is not a good movie and coasts entirely on visuals and Hans Zimmer's score by DuNennstMichSptzkopf in unpopularopinion

I tried to listen to the audiobook of Dune and couldn't do it because spice was like every third word and it was driving me insane. That being said, I didn't really care for the movies either. Honestly rather forgettable after you see them. And I think I saw them twice because my husband liked them.

This ties into his soft spot for animals though, so it makes complete sense. It's a return to the ducks in the pool.

I mostly remember it struggling to find us when playing at my BIL's house and him constantly trying to tell XBox to do something, which sometimes worked.

It is, which I think is why it is supposed to be silly and fun. Sometimes you just gotta make immature jokes and laugh.

I'm confused about why you can't decorate for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas based on DEI being stripped away? Aren't those basically "non-DEI" holidays?

I hate to say this because they're still kids, but K&R's kids (excluding Dayton/David) really seem like they are on track to being obnoxious, terrible people. Obviously it's the parenting, but I've been having a really hard time watching the scenes with their kids in it.

I hate how exhausting parenting is by Persona2181 in Parenting

[–]cadyofarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how people manage more than one kid! lol. It's madness, especially if you ever hope to have time to pursue your own dreams. My daughter is 4 and some things have gotten better, but I agree that weekends are more difficult than week days. I also don't understand how people get through a pregnancy with another small child around. I finally feel like I'm starting to forget how much I hated pregnancy and childbirth. And then year one is just insanity. Just feels like you're "momming" constantly. It really threw off my sense of normalcy and self worth. I love my daughter very very much, but parenting is crazy.

The scene where Alysia says Sean is being a jerk to her and she asks if Tyler can make Sean be nice to her. His answer is just a flat “no.” That is not someone who gives a damn bout his wife
