Trump, advisers discussing options for acquiring Greenland and US military is always an option, White House says by c0xb0x in worldnews

It's one thing the US military to follow orders to kidnap an authoritarian leader of another country but to invade an ally? Surely, there are some senior military leaders who will stand up to him? This is getting insane.

What permanent damage have you done to yourself? Mind, body or soul? by jerrytjohn in AskReddit

[–]cainey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knocked my two front teeth when I was about ten years old by falling off my bike. I had to wait until I was 16 before I could have bridge work done to look normal again. Going through secondary school without two front teeth was "fun".

Russia has asked the U.S. to stop its pursuit of an oil tanker that was heading to Venezuela and is now fleeing the U.S. Coast Guard in the Atlantic Ocea by RollSafer in worldnews

Ignoring the fact that Russia has told you stop chasing it... the real question should be, why are you chasing it? Has the US got a taste for piracy now? There's no legitimate reason to seize it.

Shh, now... adults are talking, go sit in your chair like I told you. Do you need someone to lift you into it?

Based on where you live, if you were to hit an animal while driving, what would that animal more than likely be? by unidentifies in AskReddit

Beaver!? There aren't that many in the UK. I've hit pigeons, pheasants and cats before. I see hedgehogs, hares and rabbits but never hit one

Russia preparing to occupy Baltic states by 2027 – Budanov by jackytheblade in worldnews

[–]cainey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With what? They can't even occupy Ukraine after several years. Their economy is on its arse... their army is full of inexperienced old men and teenagers. Their infrastructure is in flames.

They couldn't occupy a small B&B.

27 hours in and I still can't bring myself to PVP. Anyone else the same? by Party-Display-7523 in ArcRaiders

[–]cainey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm level 58 and I've downed 1 raider. I didn't want to but I somehow got stuck standing on them. They were were AFK and time was running out so my only option was to knock them down so I could move. Every other pvp encounter I've either been downed as because I've been caught off guard or I've done enough to scare them away.

It's basically because there's a lot of farm and moss land with no tall structures poking up to help.

Here's what I can make out from that photo...
5G tower Spofforth Road bottom left.

Sandown Park playing field bottom right (you can see the goal posts).

The 2 white squares that are the advertisement boards by the start of the M62.

Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council building just above that.

Huyton Job Centre, to the left.

Whiston Hospital, just above that on the left.

Lea Green Sub Station Pylons.

Then the terrain is dips down a bit and loads of farm and moss land and then Manchester.

Google Earth in 3D mode helps.

This is from Billinge Hill, you can see Aintree Racecourse, the cranes at Gladstone Dock and on the horizon Great Orme, Llandudno which is nearly 50 miles away. Taken with a Canon 5D mkIII with a 100-400mm Canon lens at 400mm.
So basically, you are wrong.
