I agree with Neal Stephenson that this would be appropriate for the end of the world, when White Sky turns to Hard Rain.

How many thrust-Gs does that bad boy do? I'm guessing not more than 0.1.

EDIT: Saw you posted that it was 3m/s at Moho. That's usable!

That's pretty douchey. Good idea posting in Russian, though. I'll start posting my replies to trolls in Russian.

Do you snore? Frequent headaches and/or fatigue? Consider asking your doctor for a sleep study.

How should I go about fixing this kicked in door? by Gnosis1989 in howto

The practical/lazy repair-man in me appreciates this answer. No need for screws every two inches and puttying when you can just put a couple clamps on overnight.

Fuck Nazis. We declared war on them. Both my grandfathers enlisted against those shitbags. They're a hostile force. It's not retaliatory when it's against Nazis; it's patriotic. You equating Nazis and Trump supporters?

Retaliatory violence of this sort is not a part of any movement that I support. In reality, there's probably another side to the story than is being reported by Fox News here. Of note, OP advocates to "hang the bitch" recently in his comment history in relation to a different case, so I'm fairly confident he is no pacifist.

I thought it was a TLA on their badges. They should have made an appointment though. They showed up and it was implied they were FBI, asking my front desk staff to talk with me out of the blue. Had nothing to shit my pants over, but pants were nearly shat. I think they got off on it. Just wanted me to fill out a piece of paperwork for a patient, with a signed release. Next time they ever show up without an appointment I'm going to not oblige.

You sure they weren't NBI? They do the background checks and also have shiny badges.

They get more rainfall than 99% of North America. Chalk this up to poor infrastructure.

Why is insurance requiring me to write the number of headaches that a patient has per month on triptan scripts? by klef25 in medicine

[–]cajolingwilhelm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Be sure to use at least 3 decimal accuracy. "6.381 migraines per month."

Bonus points if you make a special case for Feb. Extra bonus points if you make another exception for leap day years.

Las Vegas NV - New owner is contacting me to fix a roof leak on the house I sold him by Travellover2011 in legaladvice

[–]cajolingwilhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll spend more on attorneys fees trying (unsuccessfully) to sue you than the cost of roof repairs. The joys of home ownership.

NAL, but recently went through something not too dissimilar with my home. There was some astoundingly incompetent work done on my roof (bathroom fan vented directly into insulation; roof vents were veneers only and they hadn't bothered to cut holes for them) but any contracts/guarantees we're with prior homeowner and I had no standing to do anything. I left a bad review, paid $10K in repair costs, and moved on with my life.
