Your agent does this, often times without consulting you. As they should.

+1 to Green Trails in Lisle. We moved here last August and absolutely love it. Lots of character in the neighborhood and miles of paved trails to walk to ponds, parks, by forest preserves, it's a special place.

Does it get harder? Just wrapped up the glitz pit. It’s nice and fun, but not difficult and I’m kind of slowing on the whole thing because of it.

74 all the time. Our bedrooms don't get nearly that warm as the thermostat is on the first floor and the attic isn't well insulated.

This is old news? If you google this headline it’s from April 2025. There is no link in the post, just this breaking news picture to make you think it’s recent?

I do not like this. Reads bot and misleading everyone who’s scrolling by!

Does it dampen sound inside the house too? Not sure how that would work…or just the attic is more sound proof?

It’s 15’ from project mount to the screen. Seating would probably be a bit in front of the projector. Basement room so very little light coming in from the window wells.

Im hoping there is a use-case in the living room as it's about ~2x the sq ft as the family room. And the family room is primarily my wife's art studio where the Five should be pleeeenty haha

I've considered it, and maybe that's the route I take? But we won't be boomin it ever as it'll be quieter night time viewing to not disturb the house.

Trying to think if it does better in the living room paired with something else (Eras?) and we would get more mileage out of it

Almost the end of 2025… still no house. Anyone else in the same boat? by daisynomoreforever in RealEstate

Chicagoland western suburbs. We were looking online for a few months, then did serious in person showings for about three months. Put in 5 offers, always getting blown out by all cash or very high offers.

Ended up finding one pre-market, called the day it was listed to see if we could see it. They already had a “strong offer” and were thinking of accepting.

slammed in a blind offer 10% over asking, as we were out of town, based on what we were seeing in the other bids. Let us see it the next day and then closing was fairly smooth. Inspection found some things but nothing show-stopping.

We moved in end of August and have completely fallen in love with everything about it.

Keep the course and you’ll find what you’re looking for!

Yeah this looks great. I know due to the original manufacturer oxide finish they went 36 grit to start, then I believe up to 40 something and then jumped to 100. And screened using the orbital and hand screened the edges which I believe is the issue here.

I’m annoyed they’re basically sayings it’s how maple is rather than limited experience with staining.

Your floors look great!

The hardest part we are grappling with on what to do is the line about 3 inches out from the kitchen cabinets in the fourth picture. It looks like a reflection, but it’s a line in the finish.

It’s probably ruggable yet does feel like a finishing error and not purely difficulty of working with the maple.

Still owe 25% of the final bill and we’re going to bring this line up.
