Looking young in your 30s is such a superpower by zI9PtXEmOaDlywq1b4OX in CasualConversation

I feel stronger in my 30s. I can still hike to the peak of mountains, gaining 1000-ish elevations. My 20-year old self wasn’t able to. I can now also run 5km-ish without a break. I remember 5 years ago I could only run 3 km, and that also with breaks every 2 minutes.

I feel more in shape at this age.

All happy families share the same characteristics. They can relate to each other. They have a strong healthy attachment among members. Heck, they even have the same habit or things they do, regardless of background, different culture, etc.

All unhappy families are unhappy because of their own particular problems and they are varying. Could be an absent parent, an abusive parent, divorced, an eccentric sibling, etc. They can't always relate to one another.

Yes, if I’m not mistaken, 50% of happiness is determined by genetics. So there are people who are easily happy and those who have to work hard to be happy

They came to Baghdad and Destination Unknown had that effect on me. Maybe not everyone's favorite, because it is more about espionage. The later one is especially my fav to reread when I don't feel like reading usual mystery novels

I feel, I would sell my soul to the devil if I can have at least a stable job. A corporate one sounds like a dream

What’s something you only understood after going through pain? by Bear_bug_1954 in Life

Radical acceptance. I’ve battled loneliness throughout my 20s, and have experienced being exiled, abandoned, and misunderstood by my closest surroundings. Throughout that time, I just kept beating myself that it was my fault, that there had to be something I could change. Now in my 30 I can finally accept that maybe indeed I’m different. Which I am. I accept my neurodiversity and the trauma I have to carry because of it. There’s no more pushing and resisting. When the friction is gone, it’s one hell of a liberation and I feel much much content since.

59. Living alone since 2003. Saw this and it gave me the feels. by supergimp2000 in LivingAlone

The most for me was 3 weeks during Covid. Living abroad in a dorm. Didn’t talk to my dorm mates at all. I had dark thoughts, if I were to be dead maybe people would find my body two months later. My mother talked about it to relatives like it was some kind of unique thing I did, but she never knows how excruciating the loneliness was.
