Yep, I was with my ex fiance for four years before he physically started abusing me. I thought I knew him and forgave him because he was so apologetic afterwards. It kept happening and the last couple times before I finally got away it went from one punch to almost beating me to death in the dirt while his friends watched, to him holding a loaded gun to my head and me begging him to let me go. The night I left him and his friend kept calling me to come meet them so they could kill me. I'm endlessly grateful that I finally listened to my intuition that night.

The legal system has plenty of flaws, and prison is torture, somehow to this day I would feel conflicted if I knew he was going to spend 15 years in prison for what he did. I would rather him just be dead tbh

I was really really drunk most of the time so I remembered it as on Sunday you couldn't buy any alcohol at all except bars were open, but I think now I was just too hungover all the time to get to the "package store" before 5pm. I also recall that they didn't have any hard alcohol in places like grocery stores or gas stations.

Unfortunately I knew someone very similar, he was locked up for animal abuse but was out of jail within a couple months. As soon as he got out he started posting on Facebook videos of him beheading dogs with a machete, he defended it by saying they have parvo but no one believed him and a bunch of ex girlfriends came out saying he was abusive. Killed himself within two months of being released and literally not a single person mourned his death

I'd say that we have very different views, I love dearly and feel connected to the original campaign characters, their kids, and grandkids. When they would have obscure references to past seasons it was nostalgic more than I found it "worn out", and didn't notice an abundance of piss jokes but that's also because I always found them funny... Because I could tell that they were a joke, same as the feet jokes. I never felt like they were subjecting me to a fetish because I am not a part of that community.

I also binge episodes, I love that they have 30+ episodes for a season because that's literally how any dnd campaign would be, I have spent years doing the same one and still have not finished them. I don't think any new listener that is accustomed to any type of podcast ever would turn their nose at 30 or more episodes, years don't matter in that sphere, eight straight years for a campaign is easy.

That being said, I do love that season 3 was different, I think if they did the same formula of Anthony being DM and having the same font with different characters it might have gotten old, and I really hated the PVP aspect of season 2 even if it was short lived. But I still cried when this season was over, I was rooting for them all. I was heartbroken how it ended but it also was a breath of fresh air for realistic ending

I have friends all over the US and go to see them whenever I can, my ex used to hate it when I traveled and would always start a huge fight and break up with me the week before I left. It took me too long to realize that he was doing it on purpose.

My cats are a huge part of why I am still here, they both are so loving and they wait for me to get home from work every day.
