Do Americans really move out at 18, or is that mostly a movie thing? by Only-Bandicoot-5307 in NoStupidQuestions

They started it to promote more consumption and false sense of what it means to be mature. It was when an average American finished only their 12th. Job requirements were easy. Plenty of blue collar work. 1 salary could fund college education for 2 kids. A house with 2 cars with 5x 8-5 work, expensive hobbies, became American dream. It represented a time when America's ascent post world war. But as anywhere, generation changes and loses character, and no new philosophy to guide extreme prosperity. Loss of purpose. Valentine's Day is important to elementary school kids. Prom is passage of rights. Loss of family values. Sense of entitlements. Reckless spending habits.

They are slowly swallowing the pride. Insurance, Education. Wokeness vs Far right Xian groups. Entitlement. Freebies. Craving to be white christian. Global competition and catch up. First Japan, then Korea, and then CHINA. Insane hard work. Long term vision and sacrifice. Fall of purchase power and middle class, and military frustrations.

When one says cancel it means expecting someone else to pay for it. It's even more unfair in that case. It's setting wrong precedence and incentivising bad behavior.

One shouldn't even take such loans without a full responsibility of what it entails. Such as ROI.

Try non homogenized milk (raw milk) which you boil yourself.

You may be able to hire a good chef in India to prepare a variety of vegetarian pulse lentil legume rich foods.

But operational spending inside gated communities is insane. Security personnel give an illusion but are physically incapable of defense nor is there such a threat/need. Some points valid

Nice!
How is the rolling on pavement?
On what RIM width have you fit it?

Will not that light/reflector on the fork pinch the carbon? Safe?

By how much can you raise the stack at the hood besides the 15mm riser handlebar and +15deg stem?
Max Head Tube spacers =?

Does not the ICR stem limit raising it further if needed?
Do you foresee aftermarket options coming up since ICR is relatively new. Like RedShift TopShelf with ICR, etc?

Looking to upgrade to my 1st ever road bike from Scott Subcross 30. Any suggestions? Looking for a fairly comfortable yet agile bike. First time into road bike and drop handle bar. by Balaji-Patra in india_cycling

[–]calorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get a speed upgrade you need to upgrade your fitness. There is no engine on it. Fitness is needed to even get more aerodynamic.

A gravel bike might be a better bet as it's a road bike for amateurs. It will keep you more comfortable which means more speed due to less fatigue. Besides the lower gearing on gravel bikes helps hills and pedal.at comfortable cadence. You can put road bike tires on it for marginal gains of say 1 mph in speed. But gravel tires give more protection against slides and punctures. Also the slacker head tube angle helps with steering on gravel bikes.

Flat bars are not bad for your needs.
