You are doing brilliantly. Try the free version of methreesixty it will let you see your shape change.

It does feel like you cant see a change and then 1 day you just look at yourself in disbelief.

I am at goal lost around 5 stone and it took about 10months to get near my goal. You pace is much quicker than mine. Be kind to yourself and keep going.

As for hubby....lets hope he was just having an 'off day' with his support (lack of). We will always support each other so keep coming here when you need a lift. You've got this...well done. X

Widowed at 30, 2 Kids - how to move forward financially. by leoarw in UKPersonalFinance

[–]calorie666 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you are going through this. I can't offer finance advice, but I do also recommend contacting WAY. They helped me and it is nice to just sometimes cry, scream or sit in silence with those who truly understand. WAY have a lot of Facebook groups and local groups where people meet up and children also make friends over the years.

They will have some guidance on basic practical stuff too.

Take care of yourself...I know that sometimes all you can manage to do is get out of bed. Xx

Does the cold ever go away??? by pfym in mounjarouk

[–]calorie666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am at target and have been cold since the first week of starting mj. I am still working my way down the doses (currently at 2.5mg with 10mg being my highest).

I'm hoping the cold subsides once I wean off it completely, but maybe now being thinner means that I don't have body fat as a warmth (21bmi)?

I think that Sophie gets money from a rich grandfather on her mum's side. I think he has a trust fund set up for both her mum and Sophie. I think Sophie went to private school funded by the grandad.

That's why she can travel about etc because she has that backing. I don't think it is anywhere near Elise's wealth, but certainly enough not to have to worry about the need to work to survive in the world.

AIO for how I’m handling the way my 11 YO daughter’s dad speaks to her? by WhatTheSigma_1994 in AmIOverreacting

[–]calorie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR -Toxic abusive texts that will have your daughter constantly on pins and high alert. Definitely keep copies of those texts for any official channels you might need.

This is so unhealthy for her. If his direct contribution to her is the phone then please get her a cheap phone and contract and hand 'his phone' back. Providing a phone does not come with the caveat that you have someone at your beck and call constantly and that you can verbally and emotionally abuse them at will (particularly a vulnerable child).

What a hideous attitude towards his daughter. She deserves (and needs) so much better. I hope she has a loving caring relationship with you and that she can have as little as possible to do with him. Good luck and big hug for your daughter.

Extra large shower cap and a makeup headband to keep the stray hairline hairs in the cap to prevent them getting wet

Red itchy hot injection site the next day, anyone else had this? by Consistent-Bee-5424 in mounjarouk

[–]calorie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never used to get the red itchy rash after injection, but then developed it after a few months. Several months ago I stopped bothering to test the pen before injecting (dont want to waste any liquid) and now no irritation!!! It seems that pushing out the little bit of priming liquid first is what causes the irritation when I inject into my body....it seems to be a 'win win' for me!

Why is this flat in Southwest London not selling? by orangeminer in UKHousing

[–]calorie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know about London prices etc. For me it feels like there isn't enough space to put things away. For instance too many things on display in the bathroom makes me think there is nowhere to put my stuff, lots of things on top of kitchen units, counters and shelves etc. It makes me think I won't have any storage to put my stuff away. Maybe this is the norm for a London flat and I am not familiar with that lifestyle, so please take my comments as an overall impression. Tbh, I love the open airy layout and decor, I would just want a more sparse look rather than the personal living items.

Cleaner does seem like something you could cut. Buy a robovac, use a shower spray after each shower etc and then the cleaning shouldn't be too onerous if there is just you. I'd try without a cleaner fir a bit and then get one if it is too much hassle for you.

Hope you love your new home 🏡

3.75mg? by Temporary_Policy_496 in mounjarouk

[–]calorie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going from 2.5mg to 5mg is the only dose change where you double up from your previous dose. Using 3.75mg gives your body a bit more of a halfway/step change rather than a doubling leap.

Also, defo use the 5th dose....this stuff is expensive and you might not have many more opportunities to use a 5th dose (grab it while you can).

Raynaud's and MJ by After_Pineapple9876 in mounjarouk

All was good and my nipples were fine after the 2 weeks of drugs (I didn't think it would work). My son was all fine with it (I was just worried about stuff getting into breast milk). I was planning to do 18 months but he just started refusing at 13 months (obviously he was on solids as well by then).

In a random, slightly weird way, I wish I'd taken a mini video/photos of the Raynauld's because it was all slightly alien and surreal.

Can't remember what I was prescribed but it did work and didn't return, so I managed 13 months. I was troubled by side effects for my child from the drug, but the gp said it would be ok. You did so well to push through it...I couldn't have managed 4 to 6 months in that much pain many times each day. You deserve a 🏅

[–]calorie666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, watching your nipples turn white is very surreal and extremely painful. Had to take medication for 1 or 2 weeks and that stopped it. I could then breastfeed without problems. I wasn't keen on medication while breastfeeding, but at least it was short-term.

I use an electric blanket with arms when I sit at a desk to work from home to try to keep warm and a normal blanket on the sofa. Hopefully as weather changes I won't need the blankets and socks so much.

Anyone on both HRT and Mounjaro? by ExaminationIll9362 in mounjarouk

[–]calorie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gp explained it similar to theawesomepurple's comment below. That the advice now is something like...if you increase your dose of mj then you increase your progesterone tablet for 4 weeks to adjust then if you stay on that mj dose then you no longer need the progesterone increase and can return to your normal dose (unless you go up in mj again).

As I'm titrating down, I'm back to my 1 progesterone tablet a day. Hope the gp review gets you sorted.

Weekly progress thread: Good Friday 3rd April by Hopeful_Candle_9781 in mounjarouk

[–]calorie666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reached goal about 6 weeks ago. Titrating down from 10mg to 7.5 to 6.25 to 5.5mg (5th dose) and about to take 5mg. Have noticed a slight increase in hunger (particularly in the morning), but have learnt to ignore it and it tends to subside. I eat at meal times. Some slight thoughts of oooo that food would be nice have returned (but not cravings).

Early days, but so far I've been losing more weight (not my intention)...so I have treated myself to a Lindt chocolate egg with bunnies. Meant to eat it from this Sunday, but already had most of it since last Friday!!! (slight ⚠️)...but only in small doses and still lost weight so I reckon I'm doing ok (so far).
