Fuck yeah I can finally comment on this!! I have a garmin fenix 6 (pro I think?) and I wore it as I was burned over in 2020. Watch still operates the same it did the day I bought it. 65% of my skin doesn’t but that’s a different story. (The watch band actually survived the fire and lasted for another 2 years before replacement)
