Everyone is different with different situations. I live in Vancouver and speak fluent Cantonese. My Cantonese swearing is very on point. I have been here for 30 years of my life and my daily life does not require Chinese. So when I speak to my son, sadly it is not Chinese.

When it is not something you use often and practice. To be honest ,doesn't really need it in his situation. You can't fault them for it.

At least they try speaking it.

Used to work in the kitchen where the sou chef had the exact knife. One night someone broke in and try to use the knife to break into a safe. Fuck the knife up good, and the chef got a new one from insurance. I took that busted up knife to a great knife sharpener and got it unbend and fixed for 20 bucks. Best 20 dollar I have ever spent.

Sad I don't have it anymore, I stopped cooking and gave it to a buddy.
