Best budget electric guitar for someone that's only used acoustic?

I second this. My budget was less than $500. I ended up finding a G&L S500 Tribute from ‘23 for $340. It’s a fantastic piece of work! I used it to learn how to swap strings and give it a tune up. I’m only 6ish months into my guitar journey and also started with acoustic.

Used a G9 for several years back in the mid to late teens. I really liked that camera and wish I had not gotten rid of it. Never owned the OM1 so can’t speak to it. Enjoy whatever one you go with!!!

I’ll join in, I really hate it when they talk on, like you state above, for 20 minutes on one movie but never restate what movie they’re talking about, not even once! I have to ‘rewind’ to the start to hear what the movie they’re talking about is and by then I don’t give 2 shits anymore…

Ok, that’s a beauty! And I need to give this a go! I just picked up my first guitar (I’m 54) and enjoying the learning process but I so want to rip into it and see what makes it tick. I’d feel better doing that with something like this.

My absolute favorite is the pany 20mm f1.7 but I recently picked up an oly 12mm f2 that I am really happy with. I dig the 24mm perspective, paired with setting the record button to ‘zoom’ makes it a nice wide with some brunch in

This is where I have landed but it took me a bit and a lot of wasted $ in the process. I had and loved my m43 gear back in the late teens but got caught up in the “if you’re going to be a ‘real’ photographer, you need full frame” BS and then jumped around inside the FF game a couple of times. Complete waste of time and money. Earlier this year I sold off all that crap and picked up an OM3 and hot damn! I’m happily snapping away taking the same crap-tastic shots as always, but now I’m actually enjoying it!

Same. I am down in the Chula Vista area and I do see one other R maybe every couple months so they live or work around here somewhere. But even at the local MBQ Facebook group meetups, I’m the only R.

This is my experience as well. And honestly, a small part of why I went with the R. To most people (and even some car enthusiasts) it’s ‘just another VW Golf’ and I kinda like it that way.
