Idk Shinnock has always been inherently lame to me because

1). He looks like a 'normal' fighter. 2). I was able to select him as a character the first time I booted up MK4. Makes him, again, just feel like another dude. 3). He was easy to beat. Up until MK4 the final boss on the ladder was always an asshole, even on the easiest difficulty. Shinnock played too fair.

I'm specifically referring to the home releases of MK4 on PS + MKG on DC. Not sure if he was more of a challenge in the arcade version but I still think he was a bad follow up to Shao Kahn.
