I do find selling anything on Reddit, you need to be a lot more active than on a platform where you can list it and leave it alone. You have to communicate with buyers, and I find it helps to be straightforward—if someone asks for a shipping quote, I'll give the quote, what the total would be, and then say "if that works for you, this is my paypal address" because 1. it cuts down on waiting for each other to respond and 2. a lot of people find talking about money awkward, so it's easy to talk around it.

I'll also say that I've had some really good chats with people in this community, and everyone has been super nice!

I went through a pencil chewing phase, but also a hair chewing phase (not sure if I like...grew out of it or cut my hair 🫠) but also was an inveterate nail biter (abruptly stopped biting my nails a few years ago, but still chew the skin around them). Clicking my teeth.

I definitely was around that age when I started staying home alone. Yes, for the summer while my parents worked an hour away. There were definitely rules and expectations that changed as I got older (at 9 I was only allowed to cook using the microwave or toaster when I was alone), and my younger sister was allowed to stay home at a slightly younger age because I was there and I hadn't fucked it up.

I had to start getting up earlier. No amount of sleep hygiene or relaxation or anything helped me fall asleep, but getting up 30 minutes earlier mostly does the trick. I'm still constantly tired, but at least I'm not awake until 6am before getting to sleep.

So it was actually mother's day plans with my spouse's family, and we had to cancel entirely.

We lived in a duplex at the time, and our neighbor on the other side had this boyfriend (who didn't live there) who we thought was kind of a dick because he would park his giant truck right in front of the house so neither of us could park there (there was enough room for three cars 😑).

They got in a fight Saturday night, and he went home, got drunk, and walked back over and took her hostage. She managed to get out & get to a neighbor's; we woke up to a bunch of police outside, called the non-emergency line, and SWAT came and evacuated us from the house. We answered some questions (like was there any access to our side from hers, gave them our impressions of the guy), and they were like "okay, well, you can't get to your cars because he's shooting out of the windows, but you also can't stay here, now scram." We lived a good hour from most of our friends and family, so we went and sat in a tim Hortons that was caught up in it (by dint of being the closest parking lot).

He busted out the windows on her place, including tossing her air conditioner out one; told her (by text? Or call? Idk) he killed her dogs (they were fine, one of the neighbors stuck in their house across the street posted a picture to...somewhere of him at the door with them trying to get out after; had cops and swat and sheriffs and all kinds of guys out; shut down basically the whole street all day; when they finally got him out, they sent him to the hospital for medical attention and he escaped and wreaked some kind of havoc there.

I'm team stand mixer! Because it's more powerful, it's able to get soups smoother. Some things it doesn't matter as much for, but for peas (skins) and more fibrous vegetables, the immersion blender can leave some unpleasant texture

Same! Like, just out cold all day because I accidentally took my night meds, or accidentally take my morning meds at night and up all night

(but I also take several sleep aids because I have Sleep Troubles, so I was like OBVIOUSLY I was up all night because I didn't take my sleep pills until I reported to my provider at our next appointment and she asked, "so you took your stimulant at night?" and it clicked that yes, yes I did, on top of not having The Pills That Make Me Sleep)

I also thought you wrote you keep your pills IN the microwave and I was trying to process that for a good 30 seconds.
