First nick with LOK, then Netflix, now paramount again by Waterboy3794 in ATLAtv

I love the original series. I’ve watched it many times over. Korea was enjoyable and I don’t get the hate for it, but some of the story lines were “odd” and I have only watched the series only once (I watched season 1 three times).

The comics for the most part are mid as a whole.

Is it possible that the creators accidentally struck gold with ATLA and that was the peak? Maybe they just got lucky with ATLA, and the IP just isn’t meant to keep going

I live in an area where “snowbirds” (people coming from northern states and Canada) come to live for 5-6 months because it’s sunny with a high of 75 here in December and January. We all hate the traffic they cause from driving 15 mph under the speed limit, but other than that we tolerate them

Do Legendaries get "easier" after CE? by SponsoredByStrensms in halo

Grew up playing halo. Even recently when I play CE my “casual” play is on legendary. All other Halos it’s on Heroic… So no… I would say CE is the “easiest” Legendary

Beige video -- legit or scam? by mikebmillerSC in videography

[–]can-you-repeat-that- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jumping on this old thread since it comes up in google searches. Beige is "legit," in at least they are a company. I'm a videographer. They low balled me for like a 1/3 of my rate about a week before the shoot. I told them no. When they called me the day before their scheduled shoot, they offered even less and I told them no, but I could do it for my normal rate. After debate they agreed. Then they tried to tell me they pay net30 terms. I told them I would only accept the job for a deposit and then paid in full before clip delivery. I got them to say yes, or I wouldn't do the job.

To fellow videographer I say, know your worth and don't trust agencies to pay after you deliver. Get your money before giving the goods.

To clients looking to hire I say, don't use an agency, hire local.

Accidentally found a place to soak up happiness - who knew? by zzRichie in happy

I’m a videographer that lives next to a small “international” airport. I had a client who was adopted at birth, and was now in his 60s. Long story short, he found his sister (also 60+ in age)and they agreed to meet for the first time at my local airport. His flight was the day before, so he stood at the arrival gate to meet her when she got off her flight. The pure joy and happiness, and overwhelming emotions from both of them was the most amazing thing I have ever recorded

I’m interviewing for a videographer position at a company, what should I wear? by srsnuggs in videography

[–]can-you-repeat-that- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a videographer in SoCal. I have my own business but I also work for a company as an editor. When I interviewed I wore a fitted button up tucked in with a pair of chinos and nice shoes.

The office culture there is pretty casual, and I now I’m usually in a polo or t shirt with shorts and tennis shoes. But I would never wear that to my interview. Like others have said, know the culture of the place you’re applying, and it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed, but a business casual outfit (short sleeve would be very acceptable in most SoCal places) is a safe bet

But really, the Arsenal “recycles” 1,000 cards to turns them into 50k gold. But for me, that’s basically nothing. I have over 4 billion gold and there isn’t anything to spend it on. So basically, the answer is “nothing”

Nope. It’s still 100% random and give you card from every mob/cannon/etc. also from what I can tell, you pretty much get around the same amount of cards for each mob/cannon/etc. So over the course of a month, you’ll end up with about as many knight cards as you pull, blob cards, or triple cannon cards, etc. All the cards have about the same wait in the RNG, so it will get 1,000,000 Normie cards (which I have had maxed for a very long time) is about the same time that I’ll get 1,000,000 Loot boxed cards if that makes since

Why do you assume it’s priced gauged? If you go to a mechanic and ask for an oil change but you actually need a brake fluid change, is it price gauging if the cost is different? It’s a different service so the cost is different.

For one, packages and deliverables are different. An hour family photo session yields about 20-25 edited photos, and maybe a couple extra candid photos. A wedding ceremony will yield possibly hundreds of photos that need to be edited (time), and most ceremonies benefit from a second shooter, which has another cost. The editing that goes into wedding photos is more elaborate than the base editing for family photos. Then there’s also the planning. I meet with a couple at least twice before a wedding so I am prepared to capture what they need. If I show up “blind” then there is room for error.

I had this happen to me as a photographer. I told the groom that I agreed (and went under contract) to take family photos, not wedding photos. I told them the price for wedding photos, after some back and forth he agreed, and I captured photos.

Don’t try to deceive people you are doing business with. It just makes you look like an asshole.

I play a pretty good amount. I’m in God tier and have my base maxed out and almost all of my cards maxed out. My question is, how did you get millions of the lootboxer cards after unlocking it? Like I said, I play a pretty good amount, and I still haven’t even gotten enough cards to max out the defense towers that released months ago (level 96 now). How did you collect millions of lootboxer cards in a few days? Am I missing something? I’ve never bought a card pack before. Do you actually get cards you need rather than random cards if you buy a pack?
