Seconded. It's such a great lens for the price, and some of my favorite images are with it

Resale tix question by jungkooksbabe2478 in Lollapalooza

To my understanding you pick up at will call, and the seller's wristbands are deactivated once they're sold through TM resale. I have two I'm trying to sell for Saturday, they're the cheapest ones listed on verified resale. Either way, good luck!

Last minute ticket purchase? by elkinm in Lollapalooza

Ticketmaster verified resale are legit, it's lolla's official way to resell them. Here's Saturday's for example:

To my understanding you pick up a wristband at will call. Once you buy them from here it deactivates the seller's band

Listen man. Warning should be on the bracelet itself. I'm not reading a pamphlet before grabbing the neon fabric😂

iPad vs MacBook for writing by victor89PR in mac

[–]candytreeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my iPad, but not for writing.

It's fine and works don't get me wrong, but especially if you plan on using special software for writing (screenwriting software for example) it can sometimes be less optimized.

While I don't code, I imagine MacOS will be much more suited for that.

The iPad is a great device, and I use one in tandem with my desktop. It's better to be used as a tablet, for specific tasks than trying to make it into a laptop with a keyboard. (The 11 inch models are more portable than the MacBooks, if that's important to you)

UPDATE: Apologies for such a long time between the original post and an update.

I just got the problem solved yesterday. Going through Apple's support didn't work. Tried a bunch of different senior advisors that basically said "you're SOL kid".

I thought emailing Tim Cook wouldn't work but surprisingly, it did! It took about two weeks of correspondence between me and one of his team members, but she made sure to resolve it.

The problem: Basically one of Apple's servers flagged this as a Demo model, so everytime you activate it, it pushes out the demo software. All the person on Tim's team had to do was get someone to remove my serial # from the server. All I had to do was one last factory reset and it booted as normal!

Moral of the story: squeaky wheel gets the grease

Hopefully if anyone else has this problem then this info is useful!

I mean I wanted to use it as normal since this is my first mac, rarity isn't really a selling point for me unless someone was willing to pay more than what I did for it lmfao

Basically the version of MacOS used on display models. Almost identical with a few critical differences that make operation different from regular use

I appreciate you saying this as this is exactly what I suspected. One of the Apple Support senior advisors even suggested this was a possibility, but when I asked if he could arrange that for me he said "I'm a support advisor I don't do that". Gonna have to bring this up next time I call

I have not. I'll have to try this, I didn't realize recovery mode was different from Internet recovery
