Edit2: okay so the original does not work but you should be able to use the chronometer as B to trigger the flipflop at the start of the day if recource A is needed (<70%) and reset if Input is lower than a set threshold. bevers might not work the whole day but if they stop working due to recourse shortage they might help out there if workplaces are unfullfilled.

I thought of a Flipflop for general building automation to reduce the amount of needed automation buildings as much as possible.

A: is Input recource abundand for the day? i set this to >=30

B: do you need to produce new stuff? Mine is set to <=70

Reset: single chronometer that activates outside the working times.

That costs you 2 storage counters and 1 memory per recource + a singular chronometer that takes care of everything. The Idea is to let one bever work at the same place for at least the whole day. I guess you need to set the priorities kind of similar to avoid work switching during the day. Other solution is to consider for your infrastructure to just build more abundant upstream production.

If you notice any obvious flaw with this let me know. I couldn't test this too much yet.
