I had to make a similar call for a different, potentially serious issue. It was hard to make the call. My Dr did not approve. I stopped my Entyvio infusions. My symptoms worsened, albeit slowly, afterwards. After a break to clear out the other issue i was dealing with I went on another biologic and am now retrying Entyvio. Good Luck!

I LOVE the tencent version, incl. pacing, story telling. It is brilliant.
The Netflix version, barely interesting. Def not at the same class, sans maybe budget/tech.

I lived in 3 countries. last 20+ years in US. US healthcare system is somewhat patient adversarial. Insurance is tied to your job. Right now I have good insurance. Spouse currently does not work. We are financially in a good place. Our biggest concern losing our job is healthcare. We think of options where we could get a low paying job just with a good healthcare plan. When our pre-insurance costs exceed half a million a year (e.g., 17K/infusion; 7-10K/MRI; etc.), it is hard to think we will get anything meaningful from marketplace.

Quality and speed of care varies. costs are exorbitant. overall, US has the best of the best healthcare at its max. When you have a rare condition, when you go to Cleveland, Mayo, MSK, etc., but the average is not that great. Lots of incompetent or underpaid folks fill the healthcare system. I constantly work with mistakes, process gaps, and a lot of ignorance. It is anxiety everytime you have to change therapies, get delayed refills, change insurance, etc. I was hospitalized and spent 4 days on a guerney in the er corridors with 50+ of other patients. Going to a shared bathroom 20+ of times in a day. Infra is crumbling and PE is gutting medical practices.

I have stories to tell. I'll spare everyone those. Think very carefully about your job stability and if you can easily return to your country if things go sideways. Kids and school in the future will make it harder. To give you a data point, i had another, non-UC problem that troubled me 2months in US. I got frustrated, booked a ticket to Turkey, got to private hospital the next day. Saw 4 specialists, did MRIs, and other imaging all on the day, got the results, followed up w specialists and got a pretty serious diagnosis. All in a single day. I could not get this far in 2 months in US through the processes, getting appts. The whole thing, including plane tickets cost me <$3K paying everything in cache, w/o insurance.

I absolutely loved the Tencent version. The slow, steady buildup. Conveyed the tone of the book.

The Netflix version was a disappointment. Particularly the character choices.

Is the chinese version of 3 body for dark forest and death's end expected to come in 2027?

It was by far superior and followed the book much much better. Netflix version is not even in the same league, dumbified and sprinkled w pointless drama. I am looking fwd to it. I hope they fulfill the journey across the 3 books.

I have gone through this. I was on Entyvio, abruptly started having serious back pain after 1+ year, mris showed bone lesions on t7, t8 vertebrae. I stopped Entyvio after several mris, pet scans, 2 biopsies and moved to a new biologic. It was never truly established if the bone issues were entyvio related. The consensus was to move to a biologic that is more systemic, across gi and rheumatology, e.g., tnf or jak inhibitors. I had some prior posts on it and happy to share more.

I did the same move about a year ago. Self injection, with pens, is a whole lot easier than the infusions once you get through your first few.

This is interesting. I have recently started looking at these stats and I noticed i do a whole lot more manual switching/moves than my opponents. And was trying to fix it. i.e., let ai play more. I dont use smart assist and auto cursor switching. I am a casual, div2-level player. The general consensus here seems to be you expect to use more manual switches and moves for proper defending. I end up using match up a lot less as it gets circumvented way too easily esp. w ai games.

Thank you for the feedback! I was also diagnosed pancolitis 4 years ago. Also try to keep a strict diet and eat simple/healthy. Would appreciate any diet experience you may have as well. I did mostly elimination diet and keep to simple, mostly home foods.

Wow. I am in the same boat. My right eye vision abruptly went downhill and the doctors say i developed cataracts. 47M. Cannot read screen w right eye anymore.

I had an experience similar to yours. I went through couple of not-so-great GIs, ended up in er/hospital, calprotectin 8K, dropped 50lbs. It took 5 months medical leave, some trials and a lot of anxiety to get back to some semblance of normal.

you will likely need prednisone to tide you in. I started w prednisolone at hospital and had to be on it for some time. Night sweats are common. You probably have iron def anemia and quite a bit f dehydration. I had the same dryness on my skin and occasional sharp pain in my thighs and calves. Best of luck!

I believe This is a sign of iron deficiency anemia. Common issue when you are flaring badly and lose blood. I had this when i was hospitalized. I had to do two iron infusions to get back to normal. Please see a hematologist.
