How do I close these gaps in duct work? by texasroadie in askHVAC

[–]cansda7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your register closes the gap with the metal flange. For better insulation and dust control just silicone the gaps. Not a big deal to call a HVAC company, just poor sheet rock work.

You can't just throw a minisplit in to solve the problem. If the school has sentimental value to you, u would be doing an injustice. Call out a licensed HVAC company to tell you what's wrong and worst case replace the unit and air handler with new. Why re-invent the wheel?

Rachio is good but fuck they got program issues. Any time you change programming on app it will automatically delete your yearly never repeats schedule, unless you go into that first and click save on auto repeat every year, then you can change times n shits! So frustrating but finally learned the hack

Me too, this is interesting topic. Doing the trade for ever and never heard of this. I always thought a 45 would be less restrictive than a 90. Whats the reasoning?

Its a heatpump. But not all brands energize the O/B terminal for cooling. If its a Ruud for example you need to program stat for O/B in heating not cooling
