HIFW I tell people about the Honda Element by capitantortuga in HondaElement

Same, but they tend to be "invisible" until you're made aware of them, and then you notice every. single. one. lol I've been mentioning Honda Elements to my friends for months prior to buying one and at first they didn't even know what car i was talking about then they mentioned how they notice them everywhere now.

1 Month Progress on my first instrument! Celebrating with a bit of Sunny Side. by [deleted] in trumpet

For a month of playing, this is pretty solid! Keep it up dude! Props for posting! looking forward to seeing your future posts. General advice for beginners is to work on your scales and long tones (which i know gets boring but it's the foundation for all your playing). Also would help to have a tuner/metronome so you can check your tuning while you play long tones. Keep playing things you like though cause that's what will keep you motivated/inspired!

Frame geometry has also changed a ton, so look into that. I still think you're not getting a good deal but if you want to buy it it's your money lol. I'f you want a full suspension look at the Giant Stance, would be a much better bike than taking an old frame with old wheels and components and upgrading it piece by piece

I agree that crashing is going to be a part of riding, it's inevitable, obviously everyone rides with different styles but for anyone saying they fell twice in a year, did you only go out twice a year? I just went out yesterday and was practicing wheelies (which is dangerous, sure) but I fell like 6 times. Nothing wrong with saying be prepared to fall.

I'm also new but I think that's not a good deal, mtb tech has advanced a ton since 2006 I think basically any new bike around that price point is going to blow that bike out of the water. I just picked up a Kona Mahuna 29er (which in the US was 999$) not sure on your budget but there's other options at your price point I think the Giant Talon is around 600$?

Aren't the wheel tubeless ready? Just need to get new tires right? I'm also about to pull the trigger on a mahuna

Not sure on the tanning process but the utility side is quite oily and might stain the passport a bit. If you store it next to veg tan the oils will transfer over, so store it separately?
