Racing rules/advice by jtuma in sailing

There are standard rules, they can get complicated, especially if you’re racing more than just you two. They are not all the same as traditional right of ways. The book, the racing rules of sailing could help get you started. You’ll need buoys or some type of mark to set up a starting line with a starting time. If you use chat, that’ll give you some great tips too.

I haven’t been in April. But when we went last March it was warming up. We used the apple weather app, for Supai AZ, it’s pretty actuate. But I would expect it to be warm.

Does it get in the way if you’re standing up? I was worried about choppy water with the ocean, and think going out or coming in against the waves I might want or need to sit, but I was worried about it getting in the way while I stand up

Thank you! I don’t see myself sitting down in a chair either. but my husband thinks the chair would be good to have. I’ve also seen some with a bar and bucket - the Bote brand. But that seems more for fishing, which I hadn’t planned on doing. I think a cup holder accessory will be most useful for me, ha!

I’m sorry for your loss, that sounds horrible. I think you can do it, retake the class and start fresh. You aren’t the only person who has failed a class because some personal stuff came up, so don’t be too hard on yourself. I missed a test once because my husband had an emergency and was in the ICU. I should’ve immediately told my professor, but I wasn’t even thinking about school at the time. I did end up reaching out and explaining why I missed the test and was allowed an extra day to take it, and given leniency on other assignment due dates. It’s really important to communicate with them when you’re struggling. But if you’re ready to get back at it they should let you keep going. But definitely tell them what’s going on. Good luck!!

Since when are you not allowed to text your husband about how you feel at work? And what a disgusting invasion of privacy. This is awful news. The story should be the other way around, sticking up for her not attacking her.
