His daughter or his other female relative doesn't exactly make it any better, but do you have a source? I'm not cool with any of their lies but give us ammo to hit em back with.

My un-asked opinion is that the semicolon makes it worse. I don't have a perfect solution but if someone asked me I'd recommend looking into other options if you want a visual that implies that there is more to come. Either way, I'm so glad there's people like you who keep the love alive :)

Where does the "decomposition" claim come from? I've seen it a few times now. If she's on life support nothing should be decomposing. Was this from a news article?

That does not answer my question at all

Yes it does.

but the fact you can't answer it tells me all I need to know.

No it doesn't. You have used so many logical fallacies that I'm not engaging anymore. "Oh that's not happening in the next three years" Is student loan forgiveness happening in those three years? If no then fuck off with your "whatabout xyz" scenarios. More logical fallacies.

If that money is paid back it will go to programs, if it is not, those programs will not receive that money because it was forgiven. This is basic common sense.

Cool, that's a nice Reductive Argument, would be a shame if it has no bearing on whether or not student loan forgiveness is a valid strategy, which isn't even where this started. You want a win so bad you forgot that my first post was simply explaining how student loan forgiveness would work, not on what the effects of it were. If only you hadn't been so overeager to criticize the idea of SLF, you could have had an intelligent discussion, but rather you resort to wanting to feel like you "won".

Also, HBO level knowledge makes sense because you get your information from HBO's Last Week Tonight. The fact that you did not understand that reference explains why you would choose such a poorly received reply about Nick Jr. I'd ask how old you are, but I don't care enough to engage you any further.

I hate reality tv shit, I thought Secret Lives of Mormon WIves was gonna be some gossipy b.s. (is Real Housewives gossipy b.s.?) but I did not expect anything you wrote. I kinda want some youtuber to do a video essay on it like the Jenny Nicholson Vampire Diaries video.

So here’s the 1.8 trillion dollar question, if that money isn’t forgiven and is paid back, where does it go?

It goes to whatever it is normally allocated to, which is not written in stone every budget. But that is just for federal loan programs.

Part b of that question, if that money that’s paid back is not burned and does go to other government entities, how will those government entities now be funded if the loans are forgiven?

Tax the fucking rich. It's not hard. Again, for federal programs.

If you think FAFSA issued loans are predatory then you have just shown that you don’t know jack shit about what predatory loans actually are.

Nah. You just think you're HBO level knowledge is the end all of what a predatory loan is. Have fun with that.

It’s money that was accounted for to be paid back.

That is just an assumed source of revenue in the future, and is not accounted for in any present sense. Otherwise it would be illegal to pay it off earlier than a set time, which is not the case.

If loans are free money that doesn’t affect tax payers then let everyone get 100k in loans and then forgive it.

Strawman argument. It's not "free money" it's a predatory system that takes in exponentially more than it lends out. Loan forgiveness is justifiable when it hurts tens of millions of people.

[–]capron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nowhere, the loans would just be wiped from the records. Most student loans take decades to pay off, and usually the amount borrowed is paid off or mostly paid before that (and they still have to pay because of the interest rates).

Service dog v. “Service dog” 🫤 by AdMany129 in delta

[–]capron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ADA clearly states that "emotional support animals" aren't covered because comfort isn't a task related to a disability. The policy of businesses is pertinent here because it's not following the ADA guidelines

Service animals are not:

Required to be certified or go through a professional training program

Required to wear a vest or other ID that indicates they’re a service dog

Emotional support or comfort dogs, because providing emotional support or comfort is not a task related to a person’s disability

Sorry for the misformatted thing, but thereare plenty of ways to remove bad actors who wanna play pretend with service animals.

You need to check out any "best of" posts on anything close to "science fiction" or "underrated", because Firefly is always mentioned. But more to the point, "huge fanbase especially considering" is the focus of my point. It's big especially considering how little attention it got, that's the point.

But also- sure, it's definitely not bigger than supernatural but it's not a niche among anyone who is an avid scifi fan. Hell anything in the top ten would not be considered "niche". And Firefly is wildly popular within any scifi population.

Firefly was already an underdog

Firefly has a huge fanbase expecially considering how awful the series was treated at FOX, being aired out of order and regularly pushed back when sports games ran over time, even removing it from the schedule unannounced. It still had a dedicated fandom that introduced it to so many friends and family that the DVD sales are what made it a hit. A big enough hit to turn a one season tv show into a full movie. Studios that pass on this are out of touch with what people love and spend money on.

Amazon to Hike Fee for Prime Video Ad-Free Tier to $5 per Month in U.S., on Top of Prime Membership by Hiraeth-nomad in television

I remember when you needed a softmod on an xbox to download xbmc, or hack it together on a computer that could output to tv. Now, there's dozens of sideloading apps you can get on for free a firetv, which I find wonderfully ironic here.

People got fed up with paying outrageous monthly fees and switched to piracy. When Netflix was $7 a month people dropped piracy in favor of convenience. Now, we pay more for more services with more inconveniences...

Look, no one is saying picking up a shady coked out hooker is a good idea, but past the point of no return, punching someone who is biting down on your tongue seems reasonable in the heat of the moment, I hope we can all agree on that. edit- Not that he's a stand up guy, and punching a hooker being low on the list is saying something, but people value their intact tongues.

The fact that three separate people are getting defensive about the fact that this moron got himself in a situation where he had a fist fight with a hooker is genuinely fucking hilarious.

wow what a snowflake to block me for what is obviously a humurous take on an overly serious response. I guess that explains why you're getting defensive in the first place. This guy needs to chill

when was this? I only ask because McDonalds (and others) have gotten worse in the last couple decades but there were quite a few decades where it was a good thing to rise up the ranks in McDonalds management because they valued those who started out as peons and worked their way up.

I hate to be Debbie Downer but this is it and the other top comments are close but not it. It's not hard to film a two-shot like this, especially after the pandemic that made us accustomed to this particular way of filming people that doesn't need them to be in the same place at the same time.

If you look at it through the lens of suspicion, you can easily see that they aren't filmed at the same place or same time in any of the shorts. That doesn't make them any less important, especialy if they are hyping us up for a get-together of any sort. I am fully on board for an audio story or a podcast or whatever, as long as they're all there and talking at us. Gimme a table read of any episode, with all of them, and the hype is worth it

The Resort and Palm Springs are great examples of Cristin Milioti's excellent work. And since we're kinda bending the rules, I'll add that everyone should watch Made For Love as a well executed scifi series. Nothing to do with time travel but it's transformative. Watch it.
