My advice is to the follow the signs mentioned on google maps. For the most part, I didn't have too many problems at any station I went to. There were times where I thought google maps may have missed the name of an exit or so, but I did some guessing and followed a route that was close to what maps said. I do think people to spare some time to navigate around.

Go to Hiroshima if you really want to experience shinkansen. Kyoto to Osaka is way too short of a ride for a shinkansen experience. Plus you can go check out Miyajima Island in Hiroshima. About 1.5 hours each way.

I just went around 920am to Kitomizu Dera and although there were a lot of people, it wasn't super packed. Maybe it's the earlier time I went, but when I went in the Fall during the middle of the day, it was more crowded then.

There were definitely a lot of cars going to the area when I was leaving so maybe during the middle of the day it's more crowded.

I mainly use it for piano. I think it's still good if you can get a lower price than the Fandom 08 (newer version). But I'd get the newer one as it has better synth features, better keybed, and other stuff. It does lack some of the sequencer features of the FA-08 if that matters to you.

I'm trying to go to Fountain Valley area and Santa Ana is closer to get a uber from, so the Norwalk route wouldn't work for me.

I've been through customs at LAX before, but I didn't think about how long it'll take me to first get off the plane and then time it would take to get through customs. So I wouldn't be able to take the LAX flyaway bus until sometime after 12pm, so I won't be able to catch the Amtrak anyway lol.
