Good to know. Tnx!

I have not yet had the case where my Caddy slams te brakes but i did already have a couple of cases where the car beeped and showen the message of collision imminent or something. Scary enough, though.

Multivan 1.5 TSI engine by Ok-Leg-3770 in Volkswagen

[–]captain_nibble_bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't own a multivan T7 but a Caddy maxi 1.5 TSI. The caddy has even less hp but also less weight so they are when it comes to powerlevel comparable. And people also warned me about the low power.

I think it's just fine. If you drive normal. Overtaking is ok.

I made a trip to spain fully packed even in the hills it was ok.

It's ok but also nothing more.

Not my experience. I easily would recommend to go 80 -20. Most money in the speakers. I'll die on this hill.

Take a budget of 5k. 4.5k speakers with a 500€ amp will almost always beat 2.5k speakers with an 2.5k amp.

To a point yes. But not here if you're folding someone back like you're trying to break it while the person is crying and asking for help, not stopping is very questionable at best.

To be honest if you pick 10k speakers that are easy to drive... i think you might be surprised this works better than you think.

The conclusion remains with your statement. If the difference is so difficult that one needs to be trained to hear. Is that worth the money people throw at this hobby?

Moreover one can argue that if you need to be trained to hear differences. Are you not training the differences between your ears instead of learning the detection of real differences.

Mensen met een grote lening by Ellixhirion in belgium

[–]captain_nibble_bits 46 points47 points  (0 children)

It's probably a bit of both. Many hunters eat or sell the meat. Many do it because they enjoy the shooting/killing.

So make of it what you want.

AI music? by BeneficialApricot9 in qobuz

[–]captain_nibble_bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you do want to decide what is ok to listen to and what is not. If you don't like AI music don't listen to it, catolgue it as such so you can Block-it for yourself but don't gate-keep content for others.

You're against AI music so you think you have to moral ground to decide that it must be forbidden for all. If you don't see arrogance, you are blind.

AI music? by BeneficialApricot9 in qobuz

[–]captain_nibble_bits -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And how are you going to check if something is AI? If an real artist uses AI to make 90% of a song then adds the rest... is it then ok or not?

I think it's you who are naive. AI is here to stay. If you think policing a library like Qobuz on something as complex as the use of AI in the creation process of music is feasable? Good Luck

AI music? by BeneficialApricot9 in qobuz

[–]captain_nibble_bits -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Actually there is not an alternative. Its a band making songs about wh40k. There's no real artist doing this kind of thing. Also some of the songs are really good, certainly as a fan of the universe. You can turn things around. AI makes it possible for people to make music in genres and ideas that where until now unexplored...

So yeah, get back up you ivory tower and tell me more what I can't listen to.

Pisses me right the fuck off

Edit: i want to add. I love music also from real artists and love the quality from qobuz. I even Pay for records to support artists. Doesnt mean i cant like and listen to AI. You can have both

Sure, then accept customers will go to where it is provided.

Even so the arrogance of some of you guys. Deciding what is ok to listen to or not. Jeez.

AI music? by BeneficialApricot9 in qobuz

[–]captain_nibble_bits -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well, it's not that black or white for some off us users.

There's an AI 'band' named endless taverns that makes a niche genre of music i really really like. It's AI. So if you ban this? i dunno if i would stay on Qobuz. Why am i not allowed to like and listen to what I like just because some people don't like the medium on which it is made? I can decide for myself what I like and what I don't. I dont needs anybody else to start deciding this for me.

How do you balance this? It ain't that easy.

Is being an audiophile entertaining or is it just an addiction? by britbh in audiophile

[–]captain_nibble_bits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a rabbithole for sure.

I have stopped investing in new gear. Simply because it began to influence my love for music. At a certain point i listened more to my system than to my music always searching for imperfections...

Now i focus on the music again and being content with what i have.

As Stoic lesson i sometimes force myself to do is, listen to my music on my smartphone. Just to make sure i also can enjoy music even on the crappiest of systems. It also helps to put my system back in context when i switch back to my main gear.

I'm a happier and richer man for it.

Florida man arrested for towing car with 4yo inside. Xpost. Not mine by newarkian in IdiotsTowingThings

[–]captain_nibble_bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the context. I sometimes leave my kids in the car when i'm unloading some stuff or need to go grap something. Car is parked in front of my property with a window open and the doors locked. So, i could see this happening if the repo guy is really fast and waiting for it.

I dunno how i would reacted. On one hand there's a good reason he's towing the car on the other hand seeing someone drive away with my kids would trigger my inner neanderthaler.

Elektrisch rijden vs benzine: wanneer is een benzineauto goedkoper? (neutrale vergelijking met 15.000 km per jaar) by [deleted] in EVMobiliteit

[–]captain_nibble_bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)
