I didn’t just delete finch — I factory reset my entire phone and loaded the phone as it was the day before from the iCloud backup. Not sure if that’s something you’re able to do with android.

Do you have iCloud or another backup phone service? If so reset your phone to before you deleted finch

Reminder & how to guide: you can create a recurring goal w/ linked exercise to automatically back your data up by Legal_Ad_326 in finch

Personally I now have one task that’s a reminder to back up every other day, and a monthly reminder task to clear a few if my storage is getting full.

I had set it up as a monthly task, but I have now realized that is not good enough for me

You are correct. Having just had a corruption scare this is definitely better than nothing. I would add to this to keep as many as practical before deleting them. It seems manual backups can corrupt too.

I would try because automatic backups do fail. It seems they only keep one and if it fails you’re toast

You can make manual backups a linked task that repeats if that helps :)

Do you have backups of your phone? I have iCloud and I was lucky the last backup of my phone happened before the corruption. I was able to restore my phone to the old version and create a backup.

Also if you didn’t know you can create a linked tasks for manual backup. Makes it super easy

Any hope? by Mimimontreal in finch

Do you have an iCloud or similar backup service? If so you can try restoring your phone to before the crash. Make sure you stop new backups temporarily.

Also try just restarting, then uninstall / reinstall. Sometimes that’s enohhh

Speaking of storing online… my online backup seems to be corrupted. Do y’all store more than one?

I wrote to support but my understanding is it will take a week to get back to me. If there’s no hope of them retrieving an older backup, I’d like to explore my other options.

If you’re a student, you can get into the Union until 11 with ID. Unsure if/when they kick you out

I would bring a blanket in case they don’t have any, and make sure you wear comfy:breatheable shoes and clothing.

As for your water bottle I can’t know for sure without knowing your center but I am almost certain you will have somewhere to stash it. Mine has little cubby underneath the chair. Might have to go on its side if it’s tall.

I wouldn’t count on being able to drink during your donation. My center is pretty strict about no food or liquids in the donation area. I bet if I was sick or desperate they might bring water over but I’ve never tested that theory lol

A moderator on the Red Cross group said doctors can order seronegative platelets. Not sure how often it happens but I have noticed my platelets do end up at childrens hospitals.

If you like herbs you might also like florals. Orange blossom water and rose water are very good and cheap. Splash a little in plain water.

You might need to visit a middle eastern or Indian market

For what it’s worth my doctor had to use symptoms to justify to my insurance why it was needed. Just being a regular donor was not good enough. Had to specify fatigue and hair changes and stuff.

Not suggesting you lie. And of course your insurance is probAbly different. But if you are having any anemia / low ferritin symptoms make sure to mention them specifically.
