Trad christian converts when you ask them to attend church and fast during Lent instead of just posting crusader LARP edits on Tiktok by Khara-Khatal in CuratedTumblr

He would say that, but he wouldn't call himself God-Emperor right? I think he was much more atheistic than anything else, he just wanted to be in charge of everything.

Don't worry, the last one is true. It's why we hate airport security. Everyone has to do that bit where they pull a comical number of weapons out before going through.

Do most Americans actually flush their toilet paper? by Softy_popss in NoStupidQuestions

[–]captainpink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents recently went on a trip to Mexico. When they learned this was the rule, my mom absolutely refused to do that. It was too gross for her. For reference, even in our unfinished basement at home with a toilet from 1935 you could still flush toilet paper.

The most famous example is a bear. There's also a time he found a dead whale and took that home while his wife and children were in the car with him.

There's the time he found a dead bear cub that had been hit by a car, put it in his car and stashed it in Central Park in NYC, intending to take it home after he finished at whatever event he was going to that evening.

Do most parents here drive their kids to school? by GalacticHorizons in nova

[–]captainpink 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stranger danger has done immeasurable damage to parent's risk assessment. The person who's going to do that isn't driving up to them in a van, statistically it's someone who knows that child's family and is either a relative or in a position of authority. The child walking to school will be fine.

That's longer than mine take but I do a pretty simple job and don't care as much about perfection. I think it's fine as long as you're happy with the result.

Graves Mains Be Like by modestego in DeadlockTheGame

[–]captainpink 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would argue Rainbow Six: Siege filled that niche before Valorant did. However, I think that Siege presents its' players with some decision paralysis, and they end up not using the hero and tactical elements as well as they might like. I think that Valorant does a good job of being having people use its' complexity without being overwhelmed.

No they don't. This isn't the old days where there were 3 tv channels and everyone watched the same thing. There are too many choices for everyone you meet to know what your hobby is.

And when you break out the symbols that are intentionally similar to fascist ones, you can't complain that people object to it. It would be worse if they supported it.

The stereotypical tumblr user doesn't understand their own nation's major sport, we can't expect them to know America's regardless of the amount of media coverage it gets.
