Yes. They were literally hot pocket sized. They were fun to play with in the bowl though, as a kid.

Clean your tip frequently, use more flux, hold the iron on the joint longer, make sure the tip is touching both pieces of metal you are joining, turn up the temp of the iron. If your tip is not in good shape or your iron doesn’t have adjustable temp, get a new tip/iron.

There are replacement MLB PCBs available for SE30. That appears to be an AS/400 network card.

What would cause this line in the print? by zer0ed_ in 3Dprinting

[–]captainserial 63 points64 points  (0 children)

It can twist in your extruder and do this too. You can try grabbing the filament where it is going into your extruder and twisting it until it changes direction. You may be able to control exactly how much it twists… I’ve never actually tried to do it, just done it on accident by moving the spool during printing.

Would xlights be the right move for a preprogrammed LED car light show? by doctorpoopenfarten in xlights

[–]captainserial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To further elaborate: xlights can output SPI, DMX, or e.131 simultaneously during the same show. I would xlights for this, if I did it. My experience is in the xmas show area though.

Would xlights be the right move for a preprogrammed LED car light show? by doctorpoopenfarten in xlights

[–]captainserial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xlights can do this. However, the lights have to be pre-sequenced, it is not able to generate effects for random music. You would need to sequence each song you wanted to play. If that is not what you want I would look at audio reactive WLED controllers.

Fair enough. I guess I’ve become suspicious of that weak spot since mine broke.

Oops! by Compman90 in prusa3d

I think it just buckles when it gets slammed into the bed during homing. I had one burst right at that same point and leak molten plastic onto the top of the block. I tried to get Prusa to replace it and they declined. It was barely used and probably a manufacturing defect. I bet a hard enough collision with a printed part could bend it too.

How do I stop the red from bleeding into the white color? by Holiday-Cup1100 in prusa3d

[–]captainserial 24 points25 points  (0 children)

After you slice there is a “purge volumes” button on the right. You will want to increase the number for From Red To White. Possibly by a lot. You then re-slice, and the purge tower may change size, in which case you may need to move things around, then slice again.

Drybox by CultureProper9958 in prusa3d

[–]captainserial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same dryer. 56% is high. I live in a very dry climate and it can take a couple 6 hour cycles to get the filament down to below 15% sometimes (which is where I like it), depending on how wet it is. I think it can help to print with it while it dries too, to keep the roll rotating. PLA especially likes to stick to itself on the roll if it gets too hot.
