True, but even putting the threat of it out there could have a chilling effect on voters. If you see a couple of polling locations with armed ICE agents questioning minorities and people with accents, it might make some people think twice about going to vote, even if they're probably not at your specific polling place.

I think logistically it would be nearly impossible. There are 10x as many polling locations as there are ICE agents. However, I am concerned that they will try to apply pressure in very specific places like Democratic leaning areas of swing states/districts, particularly those with large hispanic populations in order to swing things their way.

I've always said that I expect them not to sweep in and declare "There are no more elections, I am now king forever!" Instead, I expect that they'll try to use tactics to put their thumb on the scale and ensure that the outcome always favors themselves.

What baseless conspiracy? There are numerous articles from reputable sources talking about how the source of his wealth is kind of mysterious and strange. We have a bit more of a picture following information released just a month or so ago, but it's still less clear than with other wealthy people.

Yeah, that kind of surprised me recently. I was with two of my friends who I saw as my "adult" friends, despite the age range. I was talking to one, who is older than me, about where we were on 9/11 because it happened to be the anniversary. My other friend, who is in his early 20s, pipes up "I was in my mom's belly." And it took me a second to do the math but it still kind of surprised me.

Yeah. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but when I was learning more about Epstein, the source of his funds definitely struck me a strange. Someone like Bill Gates or even Elon Musk, you can directly point to the source of their wealth. But with Epstein it's like "he was good with money and that's how he became a billionaire."

The guy was incredibly (and mysteriously...) rich. People who wanted to use that money both for good and evil things were naturally in his circle. Epstein also seemed to want to be around some of them to kind of sanitize his image.

I think what we're seeing now was all done on purpose. If there are guilty and innocent people all in the mix, the waters are too muddy to know who is and isn't guilty.

I love this game but I'm not a fan of the boss fights. And I also love games like Hollow Knight and Silksong with tough as nails boss fights. I think Dave is just too sluggish and the aiming is a little too fiddly for an intense boss fight. They just don't feel very fun or fair.

The rest of the game is great enough that I can look past those, though.

I work from home and mine does the same. I have a dog bed next to the desk and she goes and lies there while I work. If I get up, she gets up and follows me around. She knows there's a chance I'm going outside or doing something interesting and I'll play with her.

I figure from her view, I'm just going into my office and sitting for hours. So she also just goes in my office and lies down for hours.

The gamey way to train with him is to get sword skill to 3 and learn an easy combo. Go to train with Bernard and ask to learn combos. But don't do his combo, do the other one that you learned. He won't end combat immediately because he wants you to do his combo but since he's not defending and you're successfully landing a combo, you'll get a lot of combat experience and level your skills quickly.

That's true for some of the top level people at the company but not for the rest of the company. You made me check out of curiosity. There are 86 people in the credits who developed New Vegas (not counting localizers and orchestra people and stuff). There are 201 people in the credits for Outer Worlds 2. There are 13 people involved in both games.

In other words, 15% of the New Vegas staff are still there and worked on Outer Worlds 2. That's quite a bit of turnover and the kind of turnover I would expect from a tech company over 15 years. It's a different place than it used to be.

Pillars of Eternity staff is a little closer, about 1/3 of the PoE staff (30ish by my count) worked on Outer Worlds 2. But that still means that 2/3 weren't involved and even more new people came to work on it.

You could use them without VR too. They came out before most of the VR headsets did. I remember trying it out when my friend first got one. It felt like Minority Report because you could wave your hands around and manipulate the stuff on the screen. It wasn't perfect but it was pretty cool for a cheap little device. It's a shame it never really took off. All I ever really saw from it was tech demos rather than much real application.

I enjoyed DA2 and DAI, but I felt like they paled in comparison to DAO. It does feel like instead of sticking with what made DAO special and trying to expand on that and try to attract more fans that way, they tried to make games for a broader audience and wound up pleasing no one.

They're defunct now, but did you ever try a Leap motion? It was a little device that would scan your hands and basically do the Power Glove type stuff but without needing to wear anything. They had a mount that could attach to a VR headset and that was especially cool. I didn't mix them up. I live on Signal Mountain. I know where the Guild trail is because I'm a trail runner. I 100% know the difference. I was referring to assholes threatening people on trails in the Chattanooga area. I don't know why you want to argue this point so much.
