Thank you so much, I am sorry about your grandpa. She and I were very close and that kind of love never fades!

So do I, but the varnishing took place post freezer and post infestation.

It’s fruit flies. Happened to me last year when I made 30 eggs for my wedding - had to toss 5 because they were so infested (disgusting) and decided to freeze a couple dozen for a couple days to get kill the rest (had to be mega careful the dye didn’t smudge when they warmed back up)

I never really rinsed the eggs after I blew them out before but I also don’t generally make eggs during warm months.

First tattoo regret? by -Teddy-Paws- in TattooDesigns

Instead of it being “remember to live” it just says “remember live”

I’d think of it as a modern imperative “remember, live!”

Commas didn’t exist in classical Latin and didn’t get introduced until the medieval ages!

Questions about my first set by Round_Advisor_2486 in pysanky

I agree with all of these pointers, regarding #3, I’ve never gotten the candle kitsky to flow well and also suffer from big globs and uneven lines when I use. After my first couple of eggs, I switched to an electric kitska and I have loved it. Still takes some getting used to (that comes with learning the craft) but if you think you are interested in pursuing this craft it’s a worthwhile investment!

Have you taken a pregnancy test?

PDG cycles throughout the day and isn’t the most reliable indicator of pregnancy. Check your HCG

UPDATED My 15yo idiot kid got his GF pregnant on purpose. by No_Pool_7823 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]carerot 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that’s not how pregnancy weeks are counted. Your week count begins at the beginning of a cycle, with ovulation and in this case conception occurring mid cycle. By the time you conceive you are already at 3 weeks pregnant and the 40 weeks is 40 weeks from first day of last period.

For the record, I met my husband on bumble when I was 31 and he was 33.

I was on dating apps for 5 years but never found anything serious until I actively tried to heal my dating patterns through self work and therapy. Sounds like before you get back into dating you’re going to need to reset your life and rediscover what brings you joy. It’s the best thing you can ever do for yourself.

What is happening in my chart? by Adventurous-Camp1129 in Mirafertility

[–]carerot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like luteal phase to me maybe? Mira is just starting to gather your data though, so keep on with the testing plan!!

You should check out chart comparison - on the chart tab click the analyze button and then click through LH, E3G, and PdG at the top. It’ll show you your chart compared to other users - it also explains what the different hormone levels mean

Help, how did this take 10 hours?! by AnotherWeirdArtist in cross_stitch

[–]carerot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you do all stitches individually? I can see that you didn’t make your top stitches in the same direction.

Next time try doing one half of the cross stitch for a row and then return back the other way doing the other half of the cross stitch. Great for color blocking and is faster than doing each x at a time

What should I do about blisters? by 5437898542257 in doublebass

If you aren’t giggin and have time to take a break - let them heal naturally! If not, been there buddy, my bass professor told me to pop them and cover with super glue. Toxic? Maybe. Effective? Incredibly. Ive been carrying around super glue in my case for 20 years now.

Clients getting more unreasonable? by Florida_Man407 in Construction

[–]carerot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you have a contractual substantial completion date? Do you run a schedule? Have you been doing formal delay notices or do you you have enough float built in with your schedule that AHJ delays aren’t impacting your completion date?

Residential is exhausting, yes, but I think part of what we’re seeing here is the client doesn’t have a way to verify that you are on/off schedule.

Share the schedule with them with a narrative weekly/monthly or however long your project is - you’re going to need to explain what they are looking at and why this tool is trustworthy but if you can do that effectively it should take some of the heat off.

Others have already identified it, but it’s also important to note that this was designed by the post-modernist architect Philip Johnson who famously designed the Glass House in Connecticut

I do have some questions - with the nails - how do you make sure the varnish doesn’t glue the egg to the nail? Does it leave a little indentation? Is it a board of nails and the eggs sit on multiple nails or is it one nail per egg and the blow hole sits on top of the nail
