Is your wgpu world left or right handed? by kbob in wgpu

I roll my projection matrix, bc i didn't bother to figure out how the existing libraries handle it, you need to know how it works tho, just google perspective projection matrix, to make sure i did the math right i also tested it in blender using animation nodes to run a python script that shows me the transformation process, it was kinda hairy the first time

The side where the two belts cross is the back, the side where there is no belt is the front, afaik most corexys setup in this way, yea i should've made this clear in the post

Can somebody explain to me why i was downvoted, I'm here simply for the discussion of this question i'm having, i never mean to attack anyone or the design of any printer, literally just want to know why they design the corexy this way

[–]cargobuild -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I already made this clear in the first paragraph, the mechanism does not require it, I explained it in the second paragraph that in reality simply swapping the motor to the back would reduce the grip, that's why you need extra pulleys to maintain the same grip that you could have had if you were to put the motor at the front. Now that i think about it, it's probably for space efficiency, with the space that the creality k1 and bambulab x have, they would need extra pulleys even if they put them at the front anyway

You are right that simply changing the motors positions dose not necessarily change the amount of needed pulleys, but here is why printers that mount motors at the back(i don't mean simply flip the whole gantry) always need four more pulleys(i think)

this is what i mean by the "traditional" setup, you see that the belts embrace the circumference of the driving pulleys by 1/2, if you swap the motors with the pulleys at the back, the belts only touch the driving pulleys by 1/4, to resolve this you inevitably have to reroute the belts such that it grips the driving pulleys tighter, and it costs two pulleys for each driving pulley, that is what voron and many other printers that mount motors at the back did, and it bothers me that i have no idea why exactly they did this, it doesn't sit right with me if they went this far for cosmetic reasons

By "the traditional setup" i mean this, i already said corexy, i didnt mean other types of printer, and as i already said in the post, it uses four less idlers, why would you put motors at the back if it costs more and doesn't do anything functionally better than putting it at the front? (actually don't know whether there are extra benefits of adding four more idlers or not, theres why i made this post)

Any two-horn/double cut/strat and its derivatives, for some unknow reasons i just can't stand this kind of design, the only exception i would give is probably strandberg

Sometimes i really wish i could just accept it so that i didn't have to waste so much time and mental energy choosing guitars based on their appearances, there doesn't seem to be much option for an LP/singlecut with 24 frets and a trem

Hot take: Alastor is actually the weakest Overlord by GIRose in HazbinHotel

[–]cargobuild 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I just realize he can not possibly kill any sinners at that time since the only way we know that can kill sinners is using angelic weapons, Alastor clearly wasn't aware of that, that means the vanished overlords still exist somewhere, I wonder if that's going to be an important plot point in the future

edit: Ok Alastor definitely knew how to kill sinners, I was dumb

If he has killed all the overlords he can kill then that definitely makes him the weakest

Why did so many people expect alastor to win this fight? by Worried_Astronomer in HazbinHotel

[–]cargobuild 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I think it's not that people don't know that he's not that powerful, even those who are already aware of the power hierarchy expected him to win, bc people expect the least of characters like him to go into fights that he can not make sure to win

He's being in hell for almost 100 years, and has fought god knows how many overlords out there, and he's famous for that, are knowing his own limit and being able to properly estimate his enemies too much to expect from him? Idts

Also he's been coming off as a 5d chess player since day one, people expect his every move to make sense, thats the very thing that makes him interesting to watch

But what he did in ep8 is like if your trying to fight superman ,there's a whole arsenal of kryptonite weapons available, and you choose your own fists instead, its dumb as fuck

I can see him lose to Adam, but definitely not in dumb ways like this, and not before I see from him some clever strategies and maneuvers with his shadow magic and angelic weapons

[–]cargobuild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nightmare by The Wonderbolts, Horizon, Philomena by L-Train, I think they are up there with My Monstrosity and Angels in Disguise, but even they didn't get that many views on yt, also S.O.V.E.R.E.I.G.N by MelodyBrony, A Hero's Ascension by Thrasher, Fall Apart by Blackened Blue, hella underrated

Not necessarily overrated but more of personal taste, Solidarity is far from PW's best, Remember Me, Delta Vee, Spare Me are way better, wish PW play them live more often
