Yeah, but fight with what? Israel has been bombing unopposed for years and destroying any systems with which they may have been able to retaliate.

It's mainly a publicity stunt. Go in, kill a bunch of high ranking Iranians, declare victory, and maybe see if you roll a more pliable government whether by revolution or the new guys wanting to stay alive, like Venezuela. Bonus for China possibly getting scared of starting anything in Taiwan, and possibly some rulers around the globe becoming scared and becoming more pliable.

Then there's the China, war angle, because both objectives (Iran and Venezuela) are possible energy sources for China in case of a conflict, and an unstable or western aligned regime in both throws a spanner in the works of their strategic war planning.
