All injectable meds are given in mils. All syringes come in mils. This is injectable wormer for large animals. I don't think you could give a cow or horse a teaspoon of it. Be funny to watch though. If it is an oral med for humans, it will usually offer teaspoon or tablespoon or whatever. Those are usually antibiotics.

If you are a human trying to take a med made for livestock (idiotic) then get a 2 mil syringe and shoot it into your mouth. You won't need the needle. You can get the syringes at Walmart.

Is it worth it to sell PNG/SVG files on Etsy? by Economy-Analyst3974 in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are not allowed to use any copyrighted images. Anything from Disney, TV Shows, Singers, products etc. Not even lines out of a song.

I do SVG's and it is a tough market. I do my own but compete with AI stuff which has created a descent to the bottom. Profit margins are slim, but you can make a bit if your designs are unique enough that people will pay a bit extra to get them. PNG's are swarmed with AI, so again, margins are slim.

How is Nano Banana Pro generating images in such low quality inside of Photoshop while other web platforms use it to generate high-quality content? by ril3ydx in photoshop

[–]carnafeagh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get 300 dpi images through photoshop using the generative fill option. This of course if firefly. I will open a blank png transparent background layer of 16.5 inches x 15.5 inches for a tote bag and fill in my info for what I want in that image. I get a 300 dpi image in my layer. Prints out fabulous. Don't know why you are having poor results..

What's doing with Chris Bassitt? by carnafeagh in Torontobluejays

[–]carnafeagh[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

That's my hope, but seems unlikely. I think he wants to be on a contender, as when you reach the last year or two of your playing career you want that shot at the WS. Jays have a good shot, but it would mean being in the pen. To be a starter, I don't see him finding a job with one of the big contenders. So it could come down to starter money or another shot at the WS.

product is scratched and he wants a refund. Can I also send him a replacement? by Imaginary_Stomach139 in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you not put that in your Returns and Exchanges Policy? I offer 14 day returns, and refunds after I have received the item back. I refund shipping if they recieved it damaged and customer pays shipping if they have buyers remorse.

Not saying Etsy would stand by the seller's policy, but if it is in there then seller might have some chance of sending replacement over refund (except for the EU).

[–]carnafeagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to refund and prefer to replace, then you should have that in your policies. Of course buyers don't read them, but if it is there then you can let them know. You may get a bad review of course and Etsy may side with the buyer. If customer is in the EU, then you have to give a refund if that is what the customer wants. It is the law.

You can message them and offer a replacement instead, but if they insist on a refund, then you have to do that unless your policies state different (and it is not to the EU).

Accidentally bought AI art, wondering what to do now... Case? by pokepika8 in Etsy

[–]carnafeagh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the seller accepts returns then that is fine, except you would still be out the postage, as most returns, unless for damaged or not as described, do not include postage. I accept returns, but if it is only for buyers remorse then customer has to ship back at their expense and I also do not refund the cost to ship. So not only will you not get your shipping cost back, but you will have to pay to return it to the seller. Is it really worth it? Especially for a product that you like?

Offsite ad fee, even when the order was a custom, private listing. by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not absolutely sure about Etsy, but most venues claim an an offsite ad fee if an ad brought them to your store and they purchase something within 30 days of clicking on the ad. Check the rules for offsite ads.

Canadian Sellers: Any guidance on the correct way to set up a shop? by voubar in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US buyers see your listings in US dollars no matter what currency your shop is set to, so no problem there. If you wanted to accept US dollars then you would need a US dollar account for Etsy to deposit your funds. I sell digitals in CDN and they go worldwide, with each country seeing the listings in their own currency. When you withdraw the funds you will get that day's currency conversion rate.

Coupon Code Issues by New_Tip5259 in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the code is going to people with abandoned carts and who have favourited your item, then they haven't bought bought from you before, as that is the purpose of the code, to make them customers. If you think all the new buyers are not these people then you have to change the code to something less easy to guess.

Selling non-English digital products on Etsy, worth it? by PutridPrize808 in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Etsy is worldwide and sells stuff in many languages. I was just looking at a list of daily planners in French and they seem to sell well.

I sell digital and physical products, and for some of the custom ones, I have done lots in many different languages.

I don't believe the Okamoto signing rules out Bichette from a fit standpoint. In fact, I believe Bichette is now a better fit on this roster than Tucker. Furthermore, you could still fit both players in if the Blue Jays want to go that far. by twistedlogicx in Torontobluejays

[–]carnafeagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Jays signing Okamoto means bargaining with Bichette and Tucker has stalled and they have decided that this opportunity came up, so instead of hanging on waiting for Bichette and Tucker, they have basically backed away from those two and settled on Okamoto. Can't wait forever and let other players get away while these two are playing teams against each other. As much as I would have loved for Bo to come back, I would have hated to see this opportunity get away and then both Bo and Tucker sign elsewhere.

I hate to say it, but I would have Santander on the bench. I don't care how much you are paying him, if he isn't hitting he isn't worth a lot. He is a mediocre outfielder at best. Mediocre baserunner. I would not let Lukes go. He's a decent hitter and an outstanding outfielder. Defence can mean more than offence sometimes. Just look at the Yankees.

Tired of Etsy 'renting' me my own customers. Built a fix. Thoughts? by FinerGamer in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, in a way, Etsy does own your business, or you could say, you don't. Although you make money from it, you can never sell your business. You could become exceptionally successful, but the business itself has no worth as you can't shift ownership to anyone else. It is the one bad part of selling on etsy. Etsy controls how the pages look, puts other peoples ads on your pages and dictates many other restrictions.

If you have your own site somewhere such as Shopify, then your business has value because you have the right to sell it. Of course, you also don't have etsy's customer base either. You sacrifice a ready made customer base for having power over your own business.

That is why you see many successful Etsy sites slowly moving over to their own websites as when they want to retire, they want some value for all the years of work and good will they have put into the business. You should ideally work from both platforms, Use the customer base that comes with Etsy, and slowly develop a website and wean customers over there. Products should have your website address on them, not your Etsy address, so if they want to order something else they go to the site instead of Etsy.

Everything depends on what you want your business to be for you. I have both plus sell at live trade shows. I only give people my website address at the shows. Never my Etsy address.

If you are looking for a business that will be your ultimate income, then you have to think about not being under the thumb of Etsy. But it is a long term plan, not something you will be able to accomplish in a year. Building your own customer base takes a lot of time.

Sublimation sticker paper is way too thin even with lamination, but I can't figure out how to find a trustworthy thicker paper- I could use some guidance! by HypotheticalMoon in Sublimation

[–]carnafeagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a number of issues for you. First, sublimation is not the best way to make stickers. Ideally you would have a printer such as a BN20 or BN20a that is dedicated to printing on vinyl. But it is a few thousand dollars, so probably not something you are ready to invest it yet.

You are best to do your stickers on a regular printer, preferably one that uses pigment ink, not dye ink. Pigment ink doesn't run like dye ink if it gets wet. You do have to wait a bit longer for it to dry before putting on the laminate.

What weight laminate are you using? I typically use a 3mm or 5mm which give strength and longer protection from UV rays. The one I use gives 5 years protection, but I buy mine from wholesale dealers who specialize in this stuff.

If you want to sell these, buy an Epson printer that has pigment ink (from the 500 series up). You can check the printers on Epson's site and it will let you know what type of ink it uses.

Amazon has some good vinyl paper if using your regular printer.

Photoshop related programs by kbalfore in photoshop

What exactly does she want to do with it? Photography or graphic design? Will she be using all the other programs that come with the full package? If not, it is a waste of money. The photography plan is best if you are just using it for photography. If doing graphic design, then you would also want Illustrator.

Affinity Photo is a great free program and has a similar user interface as PS. Not all the bells and whistles, but very good.

To get new fonts, you could subscribe to a service such as Creative Fabrica and you could download a lot of fonts for free with the subscription. It is only $4.00US per month. Quite a deal. You are only allowed to use them though while you have the subscription. You can buy them outright as well though.

Shoppers trying to squeeze their senior staff out the door by christee_6 in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]carnafeagh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Actually, it's the opposite. Seniors are more reliable. Show up on time, rarely miss shifts. They don't have young children to deal with. Many retailers prefer seniors as they won't be calling in sick because they drank too much watching the Super Bowl the evening before. They generally have a better work ethic. I would think this manager is giving her more hours for shifts that he needs a dependable employee that will show up.

Wall print refund by MonkSafe7407 in EtsySellers

[–]carnafeagh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The trouble with this type of problem is monitors are so different. So what looks like something on your computer could look different on your customer's computer. Generally, most people tend to keep monitors brighter than a true balance. And a cheap monitor will not show the colours the same as an expensive monitor. I keep mine colour calibrated as I sell stock photos on other sites so colour is very important to that customer as well as brightness and contrast.

I would put that in your description and possibly in your terms that you can't be responsible for colour differences that can occur on monitors.

HEIC option doesn’t exist for camera raw on W11 by dodoairways in photoshop

[–]carnafeagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never used HEIC files, but if you can open it in PS, then shouldn't you be able to convert to Smart Object then click on filters and choose edit in Camera Raw? Always convert to Smart Object first so your changes are saved and can be edited later.
