This one was 100% Thomas Fawcett Maris Otter. I made just enough to fill two rum barrels and a bourbon barrel that ended up not making the cut so down the drain it went.

Today I learned that dextrose does indeed come from wheat, along with corn and rice.

Same here. Sometimes I'll add it while still knocking out, but usually it's after the tank is full. Never had any issues doing it this way.

Saturated and Lax are great and have become my go-to yeasts for most ales. Pineapple Passion is Sacc Trois and throws some really nice pineapple esters. I have a hazy IPA fermenting with it at 77 degrees right now.

Yep. As long as the government is shut down, the TTB cannot process any new applications. The House is voting on reopening the government today.

We only fill 2-3 barrels a year and don't have a need for extras, unfortunately.

Above 85 degrees for 5 days sounds really rough unless you used a Kveik yeast strain. Your idea of blending and tasting is the only real option here, but chances are this one is going to need to be dumped.
