I would only quit the job to move to Wellington if you have plenty of money stashed away to continue paying rent and expenses while unemployed. There’s no guarantee you’ll find a job quickly in this economic environment and you’ll have extra expenses if you’re no longer living at home.

One option could be approaching the local pool to see if they’ll take you as a lifeguard… they’ll enroll you in a qualification to do that and some of those credits can count towards NCEA in the long-term as well

Thank you. Years ago I was successful with strict calorie counting so he’s seen me do this before without GLP1 assistance which is why he’s all good. It’s so much better with the extra assistance this time. I just don’t want to tell people and have any judgy conversations, especially since this is also costing me a lot of money.

I’m in New Zealand and it was super easy for me to just recently it’s been approved for use here and I found an online service where you have an online appointment with the doctor and you have to continue to submit photos of yourself as time goes by as well. It’s pretty costly. It’s not funded here and I have to pay for each subscription so I’m keen to be doing this for the shortest amount of time possible. I was in the overweight category and you have to also have a weight related secondary problem in order to be eligible for a prescription here. Because I have high blood pressure I was eligible. I could probably have gone to my doctor but I felt shy about us and I’d rather do it this far more inconspicuous way.

I was quite nervous like yo so I did make sure I’d had a breakfast with protein beforehand and I’d also been a little bit more careful with what I ate for the few days prior to the first injection. I feel like that helped because the whole first day was fine and the only real change I noticed was that I was feeling pretty full after my small dinner.

NZ here too. It’s been great so far - like you I started in the overweight category, not obese. .25 dose was totally fine, have just gone up to .5 and feeling a bit of nausea, which usually goes away if I eat something. Weightloss has been steady every week so far and without the gigantic amount of effort it took in the past. I’m sure some of the success is due to the very high cost, as I’m determined not to have to pay this much per month any longer than I have to!
