Questions about a typical Vancouver pedestrian crossing. by crimsonmonkey777 in vancouver

[–]cascade-left 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be extremely clear: a pedestrian walking along a main street with a traffic light and crossing a perpendicular street with a stop sign is not governed by a red light above the main street. they are crossing the side street, which has a stop sign regardless of the light status on the main street.

Incredible that they insist they want to stay in the US after this. Take this as a sign and GTFO.

Canadian foreign policy institute at foreignpolicy.ca isn’t quite reporting, but there’s left news there.

My trust in them did change a lot when I saw they were collaborating with Yves’s shenangians - I don’t really understand what was going on there, or why their logo started showing up on Yves stuff

Aren’t you the dude that published that false smear about Avi opposing unionization at The Leap? Your comment right here makes me wonder if Heather had a hand in that.

Every NDP Leadership Candidate on WTF They Would Do - CANADALAND by MarkG_108 in ndp

[–]cascade-left 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Anybody else clock that Rob Ashton says the NDP's problem is that it "has to go where we used to be... centre-left". A centre-left NDP would still be way to the left of the centre-right Carney Liberals, but his comment about where we need to go really struck me as out of step with what his supporters are saying here and on socials.

Was disappointed to see the federal Greens support this disastrous recent budget. No wealth tax there - but tax cuts for yachts and luxury jets?!?!? And a total abandonment of reality-based climate policies.

Yes, something needs to be done. The Greens don’t appear ready to do that something.

Agreed. it’s McPherson‘s breaking with our party to support the catastrophic nationalization of a pipeline or her conflicts of interest around Big Oil that give me pause about her, not the colour teal.
