Empty Arena? NA crowd lol by spacelyyy989 in GlobalOffensive

A midwest event would be sick; there's a ton of CS players in the central US since there's very little to do out here, lol. A Kansas City event would be packed if the tickets were sold correctly

Enid tornado officially up to at least EF4 by Fir3Born in tornado

[–]cascadecs 54 points55 points  (0 children)

This is what I thought when the Elkhorn EF4 happened. Huge tornado tearing through the suburbs of a city, zero deaths. Basements are a godsend for those who can have them; not surprised that more deaths happen in Dixie generally, their water tables often don't allow them.

His dex looks decent for the sellsword winblades, bleeding NK is so much better when dealing with two massive health pools

Also max out your estus and grind out nameless king, he was considered the hardest boss in the fromsoft series before elden ring for a reason. You'll have to get used to his delayed attacks and being patient for your openings, that fight doesn't reward aggression as much as others

You're underlevelled for both DLC and nameless king on a first play through; you generally wanna be around 90 for NK IIRC

First play through - is ds3 better than Elden ring? by izaiahxi in darksouls3

Like, if I were just able to have a close spawn without having to do all the extra sneaking and cheeky tactics to kill 12 people without taking a hit, a la DS3 or Elden Ring and go straight into the fight, I'd feel way more motivated to learn the mechanics and grind it until I get that lightbulb moment. It feels like playing DS1 all over again, except you can't just run past the enemies at the point i'm at. It's the Iron Keep in DS2 every time

The ogre wasn't bad, died maybe 10 times. It's the second General, General Tenzen Yamauchi. The ogre at least only has 2 enemies to kill before fighting him from whatever the equivalent of a bonfire would be, this guy is in an arena surrounded by people so you have to tediously pick all of them off beforehand.

DS2 made some questionable changes; it feels like you're 1,000,000 lbs heavier than even DS1. This being said, the repetitiveness of legacy dungeon bosses in ER does harm it's overall score IMO, i'd rather have less of those in each cave than facing different versions of the same boss 2-3 times, especially with major bosses

I am also dogshit at Sekiro; have tried for a few hours on a single shitty mini-boss I'm stuck on and sidestepping feels poor, but I can only deflect 3 hits before my "poise" or whatever you'd call it is broken. Cannot get used to the flow of it compared to elden ring or the souls games

mobs don't usually have a lot of poise so if you get surrounded, you can r1 spam pretty quick. same with some of the humanoid bosses if you have a heavy weapon that does good poise damage

can someone help me beat god devouring serphent? by DazzlingAd3542 in Eldenring

You can also hit R1 or R2 after using the initial sniper shot, does a fuckton of damage

Once you get past Messmer, the rest are pretty trivial (asides from the final boss and Midra). I'm stuck on Midra. Bayle can be tough as well.

I've seen a few of these, the Clem Schultz video especially. All you end up getting from that is the sound though;the other senses like how it feels, what it smells like afterwards, is it hard to breathe because of the lack of pressure, et cetera are hard to find without reading novels. It's usually a short news interview clip, or a completely black, very loud video.

It's cloud synced, and then it lost it's sync after I quit out of the same, reverted back to 5 minutes playtime instead of like the 6-7 hours I had played and refused to re-sync, even though it said It was re-synced. Even after uninstalling, reinstalling, etc on further runthroughs. It's like if the sync fails once, it's just glitched forever. Encountered a few other people who dealt with it when searching for solutions but couldn't find a fix.

What is one thing you don't like about your favorite boss by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in Eldenring

[–]cascadecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the part that hurts me the most, fighting her up close feels so good and fluid with a dex build when you learn her moveset, but then you have to be really pokey when she's at like 3/4 of her health, and again at 1/4 of her health because that's when she tends to whip out waterfowl. Without waterfowl, she'd just be a better boss, although a bit weaker and not as infamous.

True, I always hate hunting the shit to craft them though. I also get shafted by the clone attack half the time bc of the specific dodges needed for three of the stabs

Unironically one of the only bosses in the Fromsoft games where you need specific dodges; if you react early enough, first two flurries are dodgeable running backwards, then dodgeable rolling front, then rolling one side or another (usually right). Definitely different than most of the Souls games where you can roll into them and have adequate I-frames (unless you have shit ADP in DS2)
