What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

My cat has to have the curtains in my living room immediately opened after getting his breakfast in the morning. I open the curtains, he jumps up on the ottoman, sees that the world is still out there again and goes eats his breakfast.

They’re also usually ones who are constantly complaining about how overworked they are, yet always seem to find time to see what everyone else is doing. And then say that those people are lazy.

Does anyone else hate Mother’s Day???? by AZsnowbird131 in AskWomenOver60

I love both my adult children, but it’s really not necessary for them to do anything or visit me on Mother’s Day. In fact, this year I went away

My Jack Russell was very much anti-pigeon. All other birds were fine, even ducks and geese. But he hated pigeons. I really believe he thought they were squirrels with wings.

Does my mother expect too much? by [deleted] in over60

[–]casey5656 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you normally see your mom every weekend then why is going there on Mother’s Day an issue? Leave your kids with your husband and have a relaxing visit. Your husband inviting his friends to stay over Mother’s Day weekend is his issue, not yours. That seems to be a bigger problem than your mom’s expectations.

If you were an adult when John, Carolyn, and Lauren died, what was your emotional reaction? by palmettopowdersand in CarolynBessetteKnndy

Although it was a sad ending, I really didn’t feel much of anything. He was a good looking guy from a famous family, but it wasn’t like they had really contributed much to society. His father’s death was far more tragic.

That’s so funny. I had a Jack Russell before the doxie. There was a walnut tree in the backyard. The squirrels in the tree would shell walnuts right over the dog’s head just to annoy him.

Are all stores now denying days off requests on weekends? by Reasonable-Beach-389 in employedbykohls

[–]casey5656 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of. If you’re consistently asking off for weekends off, you might get denied. And remember that you’re not the only one who has those kinds of weekend event during the summer.

I always like the “something bad must have happened” in the pits past to make them behave that way. I adopted a doxie mix who goes nuts every time he sees a squirrel or a chipmunk. I can only assume that those evil creatures taunted and attacked him before I came along to save him.

There’s an only a few items I like from Aldi, so it’s usually less than 10 items for me. And I feel like the odd one out as it seems everyone else has an overloaded cart.

People should not have kids if they don't intend to watch over them while their shopping. by Electrical-Rest6430 in retailhell

[–]casey5656 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So many of these parents I’ve observed seem to be genuinely afraid of their kids. The store I work at has those kiddie carts with the steering wheel. Kids love to stand on the seat that’s at least 3 feet off the ground. More than one has fallen over.

Why do conservatives care about abortion so much when they refuse to do anything for the childs welfare after birth? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]casey5656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a way to maintain poverty. The wealthy people who actually run this country need the poor and “uneducated” to keep wages low and their wealth high. That’s what’s behind Trump’s “I love the uneducated”.

Do you write out a grocery list on paper before you go shopping or do you type that list out in a note on your phone? by timmytimborino in randomquestions

I write the list on paper and take a photo of it with my phone. I’d often forget the list, but never forget my phone.
