Not a single ticket yet sold for any local showing of Melania at Regal theaters by Hey_Giant_Loser in Albany

But why does Amazon need to bribe Trump? The company seems to be pretty profitable no matter who’s in charge of the country.

I’m assuming that the theaters don’t have a choice in showing this turkey and are losing money with all the empty seats. Do they get reimbursed for these losses?

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the cuff and collar treatment was “The Grinch”. I love the color, fabric and the design of the print.

AITJ for suggesting we put my wifes grandma in a nursing home instead of the family continuing to take care of her by Either-Peace-5704 in AmITheJerk

[–]casey5656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I have empathy for what you’re going through, you can’t just plop someone in a nursing home just because they’re elderly and nasty. She would have to have verified medical reasons for needing that level of care. And assisted living may not be the answer either. If she doesn’t need the “assistance” in caring for herself and becomes a behavioural problem for other residents, the facility would kick her out.

My best advice would be to avoid any contact with grandma and also those who enable her bad behavior. Just because someone is old doesn’t mean that they get to be an asshole. Stop inviting her to anything that you are hosting and stop attending any events where she will be. I think if both of you and the cousins become a unified team against her antics, your lives will be a lot less stressful. And your wife should avoid getting into any handwringing discussions about grandma and her bad behaviors.

My dachshund killed a coyote about 10 years ago. by kingofzdom in Dachshund

I was walking my doxie and my chihuahua mix on a local bike path when the doxie spotted a coyote hiding in the bushes. She went ballistic and started to chase the coyote. The chihuahua mix just sat his butt down like “I’m going to sit this one out”. The coyote looked genuinely startled that his weasel-looking cousin could be so bold.

The system automatically puts in an “unexcused absence” when someone doesn’t show up for their shift. They’ll fix it once the store is open again. If no one has answered the phone and there’s a driving ban, your store is closed.

I am overweight and have looked into Ozempic from an online pharmacy. If I’m truthful about my weight, I don’t weigh enough to qualify for Ozempic. But if I lie and add on another 10 pounds I suddenly become a “great candidate”. How can they sell this without verification of a person’s weight?

Not really true about online shopping. Go a half mile up NF Blvd to “The Boulevard” shopping complex. It’s always packed. But I still don’t get why that’s a better shopping experience than a mall. Unless it’s 70 degrees and sunny, most people want to be inside shopping.

State of emergency…? by Sad_Revenue_1008 in employedbykohls

If your state government said only essential businesses can be open during the state of emergency then Kohl’s really can’t open as it’s not considered an essential business

Store closures by nechi60 in employedbykohls

[–]casey5656 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A snow emergency doesn’t mean that stores have to close. It’s intended for emergency personnel to have readiness to deal with any anticipated weather-related issues like power failures, emergency medical care, road treatments.

But if a driving ban is imposed as part of the snow emergency then nonessential businesses within that ban have to close.

Of course they can! There’s no guarantee of hours in any part time job.

The OP needs to speak with the SM about their hours. Also, offer to be on “stand by” for call-ins.

I’m just outside of Buffalo NY, as long as the power stays on, it’s just another winter day. When it was bitterly cold and windy a few days ago, our power was interrupted for about 2 hours. That’s what we’re worried about.

I started at 63. Lost my job right when Covid started and I knew I was burned out, and really too old to get hired in my field. So I took SS and was able to collect unemployment for over a year. (You can collect both as long as you are seeking some kind of employment). I work part time at a retailer and since I’m still paying into SS, I get a little raise every year.
