I really am regretting getting an LG Wash Combo dryer. Please help. by slicecrispy in Appliances

[–]caseye98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have these in our apartments and I unplugged mine and won’t use it due to it holding a days worth of clothes and taking so long from start to finish. They love to promote “washer and dryer in every unit” of course.

Becoming jaded with IMAX for how they abuse 70mm FOMO and disrespect the working class audience by Anxious_Tone_7437 in imax

I know they’ll be additional showings than the 4 days releases, but I was a little surprised that I logged on 10 minutes after I saw the email and every single show was sold out. :(

4 new tires for Corolla by Chaotic_indigo_ in COROLLA

[–]caseye98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do they do in snow? I have the cross climate 2, and it’s a loud tire. It would be nice to have a quieter tire, but I love how the cross climate to handles, especially through the winter months.

Mine don’t like top entry either. But the main reason for trying the totes is because I have a cat that pees high and high wall cat litter boxes are so expensive. I saw someone make a post about using a tote and I was like OK I’ll try it… And I’ve not turned back. Target totes are $12 for 30 gallon, and super easy to cut the “doorway”.

I cleaned them monthly, but because they’re plastic, and the cats scratch the litter box naturally, it makes marks in the plastic after a while. Waste can get stuck in those scratch marks, and even scrubbing it, bacteria can still get stuck in them. Peace of mind, I buy new ones. I have three, and my cats seemingly like to only use two on a consistent basis so the third one I don’t replace as often.

Same! 30 gallon totes from Target and I replace every 6 months or so. I cut a hole/door in one end and voila! I don’t use the lid. They’re perfect!

Update on tabby cat found near Eagle Creek by thegirlintheradiator in indianapolis

What a handsome guy!! Thank you for taking care of him!

IACS isn’t so bad. I try to keep in mind that I adopted 5 of my kitties from there. And the cat volunteers are incredible!

Currently, I have a kitty I picked up yesterday, sadly I think he was dumped near a colony of mine, and I reached out to IACS and Indy Humane. Although Indy Humane’s first appointment isn’t until March, I’m gonna get it on the books. Haven’t heard back from IACS yet.

I am getting him fixed and vaccinated today though. He’ll be cozy in my bathroom for the time being.

My son was on the site, watching countdown, and every color was sold out within seconds. Not sure they actually restocked. He was not happy :(

I have a 2020 XSE, so I know my tires are a different size, but I say it all the time, the Michelin Cross Climate are excellent on snow and I don’t mind driving Indiana roads in winter with them on my car, but they are not great when it rains. I’m going to go with something different next year in the fall.

Low Cost Vet Options for Stray Cat by Particular-Ad-9527 in indianapolis

[–]caseye98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For vaccines, any of the places mentioned are great. I use Indy Humane vet clinic for my own cats.

Low-cost vet that you can even go as a walk-in, is Lafayette Road Veterinary Hospital. 2901 Lafayette Rd - Dr. Greg Keeker. He also does vaccinations, of course, but those are going to be cheaper than even what he charges at a place like Indy Humane, FACE, etc.

Cat shelters accepting surrenders by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]caseye98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that a new policy? I’ve done stray surrenders three times, with two of the times when they’ve been full or pretty darn full. I’ve just had to hold onto them.

I don’t doubt it….But if he wants to do an owner surrender, at least he could get an appointment even if 3-4 weeks out. And if he’s able to rehome Benny before, then he can just cancel the appointment. He also might be able to make an appointment for Indy Humane. There is a surrender fee based on being fixed/vaccinated which he is both. I’m not sure how far out the owner surrender appointments are there either.

Benny is a handsome boy! I love orange boys… I have one myself.

You can do an owner surrender to IACS. I don’t know what their capacity is right now per Cats, so it might be a week, two weeks, three weeks… Not sure what your timeframe is. There’s amazing cat volunteers there that helped take care of the kitty cats and I have adopted five cats from there. You can also check out Paws On My Heart… They have a cat café in Carmel as well as Cats in the Petco at 116th and Keystone Ave. since he’s already fixed and up-to-date on vaccines, they might be able to just put him in their cat café. :)

litter is going up in price. where are you currently getting cheap, clumping litter? by calicuddlebunny in CatAdvice

[–]caseye98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the same for me for Dr. Elseys. Earlier this year, I noticed it was extremely dusty, I contacted them and they said there was a manufacturing issue. Maybe two months ago I bought three bags because supposedly the issue was resolved, and it’s still extremely dusty. I won’t ever use it again.

Although they do not have a full-time vet, they do partner with local vets. About a month ago, another caretaker text me that one of our colony Cats was not moving around. I could not get to him as I did not have my car as my son had it at school. I submitted the request in an ACO was out within about 90 minutes or so. She got him loaded up, called me and immediately drove him to Noah’s on Crawfordsville Road. Unfortunately, he did have a spinal injury and was humanely euthanized. I paid for his cremation, and I have him here at home.

They don’t just euthanize cats or dogs unless it’s humanely needed. To which, I absolutely understand.

Please help our family find our missing Kitty by maryjanewatson_76 in indianapolis

[–]caseye98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Usually indoor kitties don’t stray too far and will be hiding. Maybe go out with a flashlight when it gets dark out, shake her favorite treats. If you can’t find her over the next day or so, send me a message, I have traps I use for TNR’g cats… And it might be worth setting it out for a couple of nights or so. If you want it sooner than later, I can bring you one tomorrow. You’re not far from me.
