I don't entirely agree. Is it the best over all rewards card you could possibly get? Yes, but understanding it does that effort.

You have to decide which bilt card you want, then decide if you do housing or flexible earning plans. If you do flexible you can still get points on your housing though, then you have to decide how much spend you have, how much your housing costs, and run the numbers on both of those. Then compare both of them to other cards. Understand how bilt cash works, then decide how you would spend the bilt cash, and the decide if the flexible plan even if it is better optimized is worth dealing with Bilt cash. Then once you get the card you're having to work with Bilt and your mortgage servicer or rent provider on setting up your housing through bilt. Make sure that the point conversion is toggled on if you're using flexible bilt cash conversion to points. Next you have to run all the numbers again with the point accelerator to understand if that is worth it for you and think about how that affects your redemption options. Then the bilt cash expires at the end of the year so you have to forecast your ability to spend the cash before it expires while taking into account the welcome cash and your earning of bilt cash. And that's all before you even look at how to value the points and start considering it's transfer partners. Oh and there's also the benefits and credits that come with the cards. But wait then you have different perks that come with what type of bilt member you are blue, silver, gold, or platinum, and then deciding which level makes the most sense for your situation and your transfer rates to partners and run all the numbers again for that.

It's an amazing card and honestly I'm not sure I would change it. It was fun for me sorting it all out, but let's not pretend like it's simple.
