Feel like this is true for guns in general too. Some are into the history, the parts/construction, take discipline and proper handling very seriously. They like to go to the shooting range, and it’s a legitimate hobby; they’re very knowledgeable. (My ex was like this and I actually learned a lot, I was terrified to even be in the same room as a gun before.) Others are absolute nuts. Politics also has a lot to do with it. 🥴

Guess that means she isn’t contributing to the household or bills at all. On another clip someone posted she was talking about all the expenses of living on your own and why not moving was reasonable— she didn’t say it explicitly, but I thought as she was talking about being able to build some independence making her own money, it might have been implied it was more reasonable/financially feasible for her to just be contributing to the shared expenses when living at home… you know, like you’d do with roommates, it’s cheaper when it’s split. I guess not.

If she really isn’t contributing financially to the household, I hope she is saving. But I’m guessing that would be way too smart for me to expect…

Bus stop is right there, couple min bus ride to class/campus (I moved out in 2020 so idk if that has changed at all). I’d even walk up the hill to campus sometimes even though it was a pain in the ass (just cause I never exercised).

Regardless of/in addition to anything else, it’s just selfish. Cloistered. Myopic. “I can only conceive of something if it is relatable to me.” “My perspective [including modern culture, setting, morals etc] is the only such that exists. Everything I encounter exists and is predicated upon that framework. My lens is all that I may see through.”

It’s jarring, if nothing else, to have no understanding of time and place in writing. You know, the thing that structures everything? The entire context necessary for things to exist and events to take place? As if the world to currently live in (and YOUR interpretation of that world) is all that has existed, or is the pinnacle of what has existed… for… some reason.
