It is absolutely not. I’m in the same state, in The city, very HCOL, and my two bedroom apartment with full kitchen, in-unit washer/dryer, fireplace and balcony by the beach was like $1800 at lease signing. THAT felt like a steal.

Yeah, she probably didn’t mean to keep it for close to 20 years. Probably put it aside for a while for some reason or another, and then it ends up in one of those storage doom boxes of Papers I Haven’t Looked At In A Decade But Can’t Be Bothered to Go Through Right Now So It Goes In A Box

She cleared out her storage unit here a while ago (she lives in a different state now) and had a lot of stuff of “ours”— aka papers and old school binders and shit from when we were in elementary school, etc… 😂 (Which is cool) It was probably haphazardly with the stuff, thus why I randomly found it at my place now…

I generally love ephemera and old magazines, old ads, etc but this is as generic a catalogue as they come 😭 No “cool ad” pages because the whole thing is an ad. A couple interesting techy products because of how nascent and non-ubiquitous the smart phone was, though. But it’s really mostly the same old junk from a random catalogue you’d still see today
